What can we do at Atlantis that is Free???

When we go to Nassau, we are probably just going to walk around the Straw Market and go to Atlantis then go back to the ship. We are planning on taking a taxi to Atlantis and exploring on our own. I know we can't access the pools, but other than that, what can we see or do that's free? What will cost us? I just want to make sure it will be worthwhile to head over there without an excursion or renting a room!

We went over there via taxi and just walked around. We strolled the lobby went into the stores (they have a little Blvd. style set up of stores), played in the casino a little bit and left. We were there about 2 maybe 3 hours (most of the time in the casino)

If you enjoy stroling around looking at the sights...Atlantis is a great place to go. The building itself is amazing...and one could spend hours looking at all the detail the put into the place. Like others have said there are shops and gift stores to look through..and there is always the casino. The fee areas are "the dig" aka aquarium....and the areas for the resort guests....ie the pools and water park. There is also a public beach real close by.
