What can I do with this money?

I'm giving my DGD a sum of money as one of her Christmas gifts.. I was going to do the large box all the way down to the tiny box (I have a tiny Christmas stocking that is designed for putting money in it), but I'm in so much pain today from heavy-duty cleaning and lifting yesterday (that I shouldn't have even been doing), the thought of trying to sit somewhere comfortably and do all the boxes just makes me want to cry.. Ugh!:headache:

Any other clever - but easy ideas? She's 12 - if that helps any..

Thanks!
:santa:

Have her Hunt for it...

Just wrap one little box with a note inside, saying, "Go to XXX and open YYY drawer and look under ZZZ." Then there put another note, saying, "Go to AAA and look under the BBB rug." Then there put another note, etc.

Is it too late to pick up a book to wrap? You could money between the pages so that when she goes to read it she comes across random bills. That would certainly give her incentive to read it!

That's a great idea!! Thanks! Now - it's all in 20's.. Should I put them in various locations too - or just the entire sum in the "final" destination?

I do like this idea!! Very, very easy..:santa:

I think it would be neater to just put the full amount at the last stop in the hunt. That way the suspense builds up (something teenage girls seems to enjoy, if the Twilight movies are of any indication). Otherwise, by the second stop on the hunt, the surprise will be gone.

Depending on how many bills you have, it could be fun to leave a few "crumbs" along the path, with a larger amount at the final destination. Maybe not at *every* with every, but....

Love this idea - and I'm going to run with it..;)

Was just sitting here thinking if I could somehow rewrite "Twas the Night Before Christmas" with the "clues" in there (which would be in the initial small box).. Maybe underlined or something? What do you think?

Thanks to everyone else for your suggestions too!

Put this in the box...
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Tape this next clue to bottom of computer mouse....
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
Put this next clue in the back of the sock drawer in the bedroom....
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
Perhaps this next clue can be slipped under a pillow on the bed?
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
The next clue could be pinned to the inside of a favorite hat....

It gets harder from there... but perhaps that's enough stops?

You're good!! Kind of had a feeling you would come through with at least a start.. :goodvibes I'll take it from there.. Really appreciate your suggestion and the opening lines.. That helps a lot!! :santa:
