What can & can't we carry on our flight?

We haven't flown since they changed the new regulations for carry-on items. What can we or can't we carry on a flight?

All liquid or gel toiletries have to be in travel size packaging (3 oz or less) and in a clear quart size zip lock bag and taken out of your hand luggage in the screening area.
Shoes off, jackets off and no beverages through screening. You have to buy them once your through security.

I didn't read anything on that site about uopnened snacks through screening. I usually bring some sort of pretzels or crackers on the plane. Can I take some from home or do I need to buy them after we get through security?

They are allowing snacks to go through as long as there is no liquid. Have a great time!
(I flew last night with pretzels & an apple & had no problem)

We are flying next weekend and we are only going to be gone for two days (not WDW ) so we are only taking carry-on for our bags. What will they think of my straightening iron for my hair? Will that cause any problems?
