Is there a limit or certain rules pertaining to what can be written on your Mickey Ears? Will they write "Sweet 16" on them? I have only seen what appears to be first names and things like Grandpa and Grandma.
Anyone know anything about this? Thanks! :flower3:

I was told (at the hat shop in FantasyLand) that they could only put names on the Mouse Ears - I was trying to convince the CM that my name is "Fifty".
Anyway, she finally said she could write Princess or Queen, so I chose the latter.
You can always ask; no guarantee the CM can comply, but it can't hurt to try!

I do not know the exact rules, but I would think that they would write anything on it for you as long as it is not profane or offensive, or too long. Especially since it is as generic as "sweet 16". There are names that are longer than that, so I would bet that it would not be a problem?

I was just thinking to myself the kinds of requests I'll bet they have had!! :rolleyes1

Edited: Just saw the poster above mine, and saw that it could only be names...that makes sense! :teeth:

It has always been my understanding that only names are allowed on the ears. Of course this may have changed to include Princess and queen but they are very strict about this.

There is a sign at the counter that says they will only print names, not nicknames or words. But I agree, it probably depends on the CM. I got them to stitch a word I knew they would refuse to do, but I pronounced it weird and said it was my friend's name. I'm ashamed and proud of this at the same time! :rolleyes1 I was thinking that CMs are probably told not to make fun of foreigners' names, or I probably wouldn't have gotten away with it.

Probably something like Seymour Butts or Who-Flung Poo :rotfl2:

My goodness, can you imagine the kinds of things people would get stitched on those ears if they'd do anything you asked??? I agree: :rotfl2:

I asked to have a "devilish" name put on ears for a friend who thinks Disney is pure evil. His reaction was worth it all, and he still can't believe I--a lover of all things Disney--got it done for him (honestly, I can't believe I did it either). My husband was pretty sure the Ear Police would immediately escort me out of the park, but either the CM was not very bright or afraid to question my request.

As I said, I'm ashamed and proud of this feat, but I don't recommend it and would never attempt it again. It's the most brave/stupid I've ever been! :rolleyes1

Once me and my sister were getting hats for our family and were going to put 'Granny' on the hat for our grandma, sadly they wouldn't allow us to do it. :sad2:

Couldn't you just buy plain ears and get whatever you want put on them by soemeone else? We've got a guy at our local shopping center who does baseball caps, so I guess he could do Mickey ears :)

Absolutely. It's just that Cast Members have to follow a particular policy. Of course you'd never put anything embarassing on mouse ears, right? :)

I think we got lucky. We got golden ears when we went during the summer. Our son got his name on his and me and DH got "Mommy" and "Daddy" put on ours.
