With all these people buying D40's I am curious to see what manufacturer reigns supreme on DISboards?
So everyone vote regardless of the type of camera, dSLR, PnS, Bridge, Film.....whatever.

I'm not sure what such a poll is going to accomplish? I can almost guarantee that there are more Canons here, after all, even Office Depot and Wal-Mart sell Canon DSLRs. ;)

Furthermore, I think most DSLR users also have a point-n-shoot, often from a different manufacturer. And what about when you have a camera but want to switch? For a little while, we had a Canon PnS but were anxious to dump it in favor of a Fuji (which we did).

I also think that if you're talking DSLRs primarily (which I think you are), you're going to have some upset Olympus owners. :teeth: Around here, I don't think we've seen people buying D40s any more often than any other DSLR.

:teeth:

Olympus E-510 dSLR

Canon S2IS and Canon S3IS

Two HP point and shoots

Old Nikon and Canon 35mm

Canon - S3 IS, 20D, & 40D

almost forgot my film slr, also a canon ;)

At the moment, we have 2 Nikon dslr's and 2 Nikon p&s's in the house. I think there might still be a broken Canon p&s lying around somewhere, and my 5yo has one of those little Disney things that she doesn't believe is a real camera because it doesn't have an lcd (but it does have pretty pink hibiscus flowers on it that match her MP3 player, so what the heck is she complaining about? :lmao:)

I suspect Furgus was referring to your primary camera, but I wouldn't want to put words in his mouth.

Canon Rebel, 10D, Rebel XT, 30D and Canon 870IS P&S here.
I get attached to them and cant seem to sell them!!

I have an old 2.something Fuji zoom from circa 2002, a Nikon P&S that cost twice as much as the Fuji, took shabby pix, and lasted about a year...I was glad when it died b/c I had an excuse to buy the S2IS (which I still love) and the Olympus 770 SW P&S for kiddie beach and underwater shots (so much fun!!), then the Rebel xti, otherwise known as my 3rd child.

Totally subjective. :thumbsup2

Hmmm-

I have 3 Nikon DSLR's-
a Fuji DSLR-
a Pentax P&S-
a Sony P&S-
a Canon SLR-
a Minolta SLR-
& an Argus Rangefinder-

popcorn::

I have a:
Nikon D80
Panasonic TZ3 P&S (Still use occasionally for a P&S or when I want to videotape something and they won't allow me to bust out the camcorder)
Olympus C770 4mp (sucked rocks; terrible shutter lag)
Pentax 35mm P&S film camera
Minolta SLR

I'm not surprised the Canons are beating out the Nikons, but I am surprised that as of when I voted there were only 5 people who voted for Nikon. :rolleyes1 Where are all the Nikon D40, 50, 70, 200, 80, 300, 3 users? Vote! Every vote counts -- and there are no Superdelegates in this contest. :lmao:

I just bought my first DSLR and went with a Canon, but have 2 different P&S and looking to get a new one since the DS's have taken over those.

Nikon DSLR
Nikon Coolpix P&S
Canon PowerShot G3
Minolta Maxxum 7000 SLR

Two weeks ago I could have said Nikon and Cannon but I went and sold my Nikon film bodies as well as my old Cannon film equipment. Should have sold the Cannon's stuff years ago since I only got a few dollars for it. But all of it paid for a SB800 flash. Wish I had bought it last year which always seems to be the case... :lmao:

All Nikon now. Well, we have a Panasonic video camera. :rotfl2:

We use Sony a100, Olympus E-volt 410, Nikon Coolpix L11,Canon Powershot520, and Canon 35mm AE-1 Program w/ possible light leak.

Olympus E-500 x's 2 and 2 Olympus P&S (soon to be 3) and another non-name brand 3 MP Camera.
