I just booked four night at FW Cabin for our trip in May. I got it for $198 a night. Is that a good rate?

We are planning to use the bus system between parks and will be going to WL for dinner one night. What is the best loop for this?

Also, We are planning to do almost all meals at the cabin. We will be at the parks each day. Has anyone tried this and been successful?

Your rate for the cabin in May is a good one. Check out http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/faq_fw.htm for a lot of info on the cabins and maps of FW.
You have to take internal buses to the Outpost where you check in to catch the buses to Epcot,Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney or go the other way to the Settlement where you get the bus to MGM or the boat to Magic Kingdom. All the cabin loops are on the same bus line which is purple. If you want to be near the cabin pool ask for loop 2500, 2600 or 2700. If you want to be within walking distance of the Meadows trading post, pool, campfire and movies ask for 2100,2200 or2300, it is about 1/2 a mile from these loops.
The cabin has a full sized stove, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave oven and toaster. You can make all your meals there but we only did breakfast and maybe lunch.

Great rate for the cabins!! I've stayed there and we do cook breakfast and some dinners. It's the best to grill out and eat outside.

I love loops 2700, 2500, and 2300.

Have a blast!!!

If you call ahead and request a certain loop for the cabins, is it safe to say you pretty much get what you request? I have read that you can call a week before your trip, and request one. I'm thinking of taking the advice of the previous posts but want to know if they really give you hard time about it when you call?

Any info would be great!

Thanks for all the information!!!

4HappyCmprs - I've put in requests in the past. The CMs are always happy to add any requests but that doesn't guarantee that you will get it.

At check in... just ask for a loop. I've always asked at check in and got my loop! :thumbsup2

We were very successfull at making meals...Our first day, we went to do groceries, breakfast, dinner and supper...We ate a big breakfast before we head out to the parks (bacon and eggs...)and brought our lunches.(sandwiches, chips, something to drink, snack and cookies or something), then when we came home later we would eat supper..(sometimes easy to make pizza, already cooked chicken...)and of course a few beers before bed...It was great, we ate about 3 times out of our cabin just for fun...I too, after being on this thread forever thought about booking a specific loop, but I thought it would take away something so I didn't request it and our vacation was wonderful...cabin 2217....great loop and the bus was never far..I wouldn't worry much about the loop WDW is just magic and wherever you are in the fort you will feel it!!!
