what buses, if any, leave from the TTC? To resorts or just parks?

We are staying at the Poly, so I know we're walking distance from the TTC. From what I can tell, we have the option of taking DHS and AK buses from either the poly, or from the TTC.....is that correct?

Do the park buses start at TTC prior to opening?

Also, what is the best way to get from the Poly to AKL? We have dinner ressies at Jiko. Is there a bus to AKL that stops at the TTC, or do we need to catch the bus at the front gate of MK? I'm a bit confused on this part.

thanks in advance for your help!!

Yes you are correct that there are buses from the TTC to Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom, however those are the only WDW Resort buses that go there. All other buses there are for the various offsite hotels and Shades of Green. As for the buses to Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom I believe they start before the park opening, so hopefully someone will confirm that. Finally if you wanted to get a bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge you would need to get it from the Magic Kingdom bus station.

The park to park buses at the TTC start around 6:30am. Cast members use them to get to Studios and AK.

thank you for the fast responses! So it looks like we'll take the monorail over to MK then catch the bus to AKL for dinner. I assume we'll be able to do the same in reverse, as we'll have fairly early dinner reservations, so hopefully buses are still running.

the more I research, I think being on the monorail and near the TTC is helping with our transporation times (we have 2 little kiddos who both love to sleep, so we will be returning to our hotel a lot!)

I was very tempted to walk over to the TTC and get the bus to DHS from there vs the one at the Polynesian. For some reason, it took forever for the DHS buses to show up at the Polynesian.
If you need to get to the AKL, you have a few options.
You could head over to the MK and hop on the AKL bus there.
Or, you could just take the bus to AK, from the Polynesian, and then transfer to the AKL bus there.

The OP stated she was going to dinner at AKL. It may be difficult to go to AK from the Poly any time after 4:30pm as the buses will be in closing mode and may not necessarily be taking anyone TO AK at that point (unless they have evening EMH.) The best route is monorail to MK, then bus to AKL.

Absolutely true. Using various parks as transfer points always depends on park opening and closing times.

Park buses are required to pick you up until official park closing. AK buses will also pick you up if you say you have Rainforest ressies.

I would not, however, plan on this as a way to transfer to a resort as bus timing at closing is unpredictable.
