what builidng in POP if you have a rental car??

We are staying in POP in late Sept and since we are getting the free dining we thought it was well worth it to have a car. My parents are coming with us and although my mother isn't handicapped, her knees bother her at times and I hate for her to walk a lot at the resort since we will be doing this at the park. I thought about booking preferred but wasn't sure if I should do this since we will only utilize buses for MK. We will probably use the food court and the pools some.

Is preferred worth it w/ a rental car or is there another building I should just request and hope to get?

no the 60's aren't near a parking lot.

ask for the 50's. in the 50's you can be close to the food court and parking lot.

take the bus and get your mother a wheelchair. Ask at the front desk for one - they are free. You don't want to have bother taking a wheelchair in and out of the trunk (it get very, very heavy) - but the buses make it easy.

ask for close to the parking lot at PC - you won't get a great view - but you might be able to see the fireworks at epcot (only the high ones) and only if you take a high floor. they have elevators so that shouldn't be a problem.

thanks but my mom doesn't need a wheelchair - her knees just bother her some after a long day at the parks, thats all - she walks fine.

Looking at the map, I can't tell which parking lots are actual ones people can park in.

You can park in any parking lot except for the guest check-in in front of the 60's section. Personally, if it was me I would request building A in the 50's section - it's closer to the parking lot than building C but it's also a short walk to the food court and the main pool. We just got back from staying in the 50's section at Pop and loved it. We were in building C which gave us a great view of the fireworks but if our concern was being closest to the parking lot/60's section than we would pick building A. Of course, there's no guarantee that you'll get the section you request but if your mother has knee problems it seems like they would make every effort to accomodate you. We requested the 70's section but we were put in the 50's (which was fine because we liked it SO much more than the 70's!!).
