What brands are your kids asking for this year?

My DS wants Hawk everything. I think he likes the skull on them.

My daughter does not care yet.

My boys don't ask for brands. When we do shop it is either sales or Walmart/Kohls/Target. They are fine with that. They already have plenty of close for back-to-school. It's basically the same stuff they have worn all summer. Denim shorts & t-shirts. We did buy new sneakers yesterday - Target $20@

A couple of years ago I started equating all of their "buy me, this?" with the # of Disney park admissions the cost of the item would buy. To this day, they calculate costs that way - in fact, sometimes they go overboard. :teeth:

DD doesn't know one brand from another. However, she does know her characters. She'll be going off to kindergarten decked out in Barbie accesories (lunch box, backpack, notebook etc). It's funny how much she likes these things since she has no interest in Barbie dolls  .

BTW, I have no idea what Hawk is.

My kids are too little to care about brands. As long as they have the characters they like on them.

MY DD doesn't necessarily want a "brand" but bee lines it for Limited Too & Gap...I hate Limited too..it's expensive and the quality is poor. The Gap may be expensive but at least you getting good quality clothing!

I'm fortunate in that my son has inherited my cheap ways...his favorite store is Old Navy.

My DS 14 has developed expensive tastes. He likes his clothes from Hollister or American Eagle. He starts high school next week! I can't believe it. Aaahh!!!

My DD 13 cares more for the "look" than the style. She was quite excited, though, to find some "7 for all mankind" jeans on sale that "looked" good on her!

My DDs 14 and 16 bought most of their clothes at Weathervane.
Weathervane jeans were the only ones that fit because they came in tall lengths. It's a mall store and more expensive than Kohl's, but since they actually liked the stuff and got a lot of use out of it, I was happy to shop there. The problem is, Weathervane just went out of business! I don't even want to think about back to school shopping. :(

None of mine (DS13, DD11, DD8) are very much into brands, although the girls like Limited Too. Limited Too has opened a lower priced version of itself called Justice. It's still not cheap but it's a lot less than Limited Too.

Justice? Is it sold in the Limited Too stores or is it another store? Is it about the same quality? If the quality was any lower.........well I won't say for fear I'll offend someone!

My dd8 is asking for Limited Too and Evergirl at Kohl's. She also likes Children's Place. My dd6 has no preference, but likes Children's Place

I have a high schooler and a middle schooler this year (both boys) and neither cares about brands. We shop Old Navy, Penney's, and in a pinch we will hit Eddie Bauer or Lands' End because we know we get good quality for the price.

At the point they start wanting certain brands they will be paying the difference.

I know, I know..... MEAN MOM!!!! :p

The "brand name" bug has hit my soon to be 7th grader hard this year.

Our back to school shopping included Hollister, Eddie Bauer, American Eagle, Aeropostle and Abercrombie with the Nike tennis shoes in the light grey with the N on the side. Oh I did talk him into some Old Navy shirts too. Gotta love the prices at Old Navy!

He also wants a Polo shirt that costs $65 bucks........he isn't getting that!!!!

DD9 isn't asking for any brands in particular. She has been checking out the clothes online at Penneys, Old Navy, Kohls, Aeropostle. She has big ideas, I'll tell ya! She does want Sketchers shoes and some everyday black boots.

My dd 14 was so excited that she found a polo shirt with a little flamingo on it. The shirt is neon pink. I never knew she liked that kind of thing, she is so strange.

All my kids told me the polo shirt with the little emblem, like the alligator on it is suppose to be the new thing. I'm like wait a minute, let me go digging, I know I have a bunch of them somewhere.

Polo is selling the polo shirt for $65-no way.

My DD who's going into Kindergarden could care less. Anything with Tinkerbell works! But, my DD going into 4th grade only wants stuff from Limited too! I told her to start saving her money then. My kids wear uniforms to school, but need fall/winter clothes for the weekend ect. They get a new coat and a new pair of shoes every year as their "school clothes" My oldest wants one of those Sherpa coats and I cant find them anywhere!

YEP! It sure is and it CAN'T HAVE A POCKET!!!!!

The Polo that J.C. wanted was the bright bright pink one, to wear with Khaki shorts and those moccasin looking shoes. Oh and the necklace with the shells.

My DD started 7th grade (this is our first week - on a "modified" schedule). Right before school was out for summer, we had to get some Etnies sneakers and now we just got some "ug" type boots. School has a relaxed uniform policy, jeans/khakis with solid colored polos okay. The polos with the small emblems are quite big here this year also. DD wore a pink one with Pink Panther yesterday and got loads of compliments!

DD9 - whatever except for her new pink "jelly" belt. She likes it a lot.
