What book are you reading?

I started A Million Little Pieces last night. It is very good, but I am not sure if I have the "stomach" to finish it. I may have to read it in small doses!

Memoirs of a Geisha. I want to reread the book before I see the movie. How much I have forgotten about the book since I first read it about 4 years ago.

I would suggest NOT rereading Memoirs before the movie. I went with a friend who recently finished the book, and she was disappointed with the movie. I read the book about 8 years ago, had forgotton most of the details, and enjoyed the movie. Of course, the book is always better than the move IMHO.

I just finished Lovely Bones. Very, very interesting book. It helped me come to terms with several deaths in my own family. It was depressing, it is written with some humor.

I am also reading the Narnia series with my sons. Actually, he is reading to me!

Back to the Bedroom by Janet Evanovitch.

I'm reading "Geisha, A Life." It's very good. :)

I read that too. Her life was fascinating!

I am currently reading "Pope Joan" by Donna Woolfolk Cross. I'm a history/religious history/theory buff.

Also finished The Pilot's Wife. It was on Oprah's book list in the 90's. Very good.

Kite Runner - and as everyone else has said, it it fabulous!
I'm also reading Surviving the Applewhites aloud to my class at school.

I also recently read Devil in the White City. This book is crazy good - I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it to everyone. It is one of those books that when you're finished you don't think you can read anything else because it was so fantastic! (Okay, maybe i'm a little prejudiced seeing as it takes place in Chicago and I'm from Chicago. :) )

Heimlichfan, I have to agree with you. The book is crazy good!

I am currently reading Devil in the White City for my book club's semi-annual coed meeting on Saturday. It is an amazing story and I can't wait to hear the discussion this book will generate.
