What book are you reading?

A classic by an amazing author that captures the essense of each story he has ever told.

Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss.

:rotfl:

Actually, I'm reading Memoirs of a Geisha as well. :)

Starting two new books, James Patterson's Lifeguard and Nora Roberts Red Lily.

Tonight, I'm starting on Mary, Mary by James Patterson, one of my favorite authors. If it's like his other books, I'll still be reading long after I should have turned out the lights and gone to sleep. I have a hard time putting his books down when I start them. :faint:

Oh gosh, more dark circles under my eyes because of lack of sleep...I was afraid of that! :teeth:

My Sister's Keeper. I believe someone on here recommended it. It is definitely a page turner.

I think that was me. I am currently reading another one of Jodi Picoult's books called Plain Truth. Also very good - very well written.

I loved, loved, loved My Sister's Keeper - probably my favorite book ever. Enjoy it. Post or PM & let me know what you think of if when you're done.

Od Magic by Patricia McKillip...you're never too old for fantasy and sci fi! :wizard:

Just finished "At First Sight" by Nicholas Sparks - tear jerker....

I'm going to start "Christ the King" by Ann Rice next.
Jenny :earsboy:

I'm almost finished with, A Girl Named Zippy by Haven Kimmel, then I'm going to read the sequel, She Got Up Off The Couch, which is reviewed in this week's People magazine. The books are about her life growing up in a small town in Indiana in the 60's and 70's. She writes in a humorous way, but the books are also poignant.

About to start The Queens Fool by Phillipa Greggory. I'm in a historial fiction phase right now and loved another book of hers The Other Boleyn Girl . That was a hard one to put down.

Loved Memoirs of a Geisha - the book, not the movie and also really enjoyed My Sister's Keeper - two other books mentioned so far.

I like hearing what other people are reading and if they are enjoying it!

I loved Red Lily and At First Sight. At First Sight was definitely a tear jerker.

Before I started reading My Sister's Keeper, I was reading Nora Roberts Brazen Virture (not one of my favorites of hers)

I can hardly stop reading My Sister's Keeper. I am so glad you mentioned it MELSMICE. Thanks

My Friend Leonard by James Frey. I loved A Million Little Pieces.

Today was a very light reading day for me. I started this morning and just a few minutes ago Vendetta by Fern Michaels. It is third in a series- the first two were Weekend Warriers and Payback.

Will To Murder (true story about the Glensheen Mansion murders in Duluth, MN).

:earsgirl: Also 2 Disney Info books!! :earsboy:

I'm reading High Five a Stephanie Plum Novel by Janet Evanovich. These novels are hilarious...maybe a little coloful on the language for me. The characters are a hoot and they are a quick read.

The Documents in the Case by Dorothy Sayers (my "grown-up book" that I carry in my purse and read on the light rail or bus)
Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome (my "inner child book" that I keep by my bed)

and DH is reading aloud to me from a book that I can't remember the title of but it is a mystery based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice that starts with Elizabeth & Darcy's and Jane & Bingley's wedding day. He reads half a chapter to me at bedtime a couple nights a week.
