What benefits do you see to change to CBR from Pop?

We can switch for only $200 and that seems to be a good deal, but with construction going on at CBR, is there really enough benefit to spend the extra money? We are not eating at the resort as we are doing all TS elsewhere. We are a party of 5 but looking at 2 rooms since we have 3 teenage boys. Thoughts?

Slightly bigger rooms
Pool slide
Hot tub

Those are the only benefits I can think of.

I wouldn't do it. The construction is massive. Plus you would go from a resort with one bus stop to a resort with 7. So it takes that much longer to get to and from the parks, even if the bus you are on only goes to some of the stops. I'd stick with Pop.

None IMO.

But I’m incredibly biased. I did not enjoy our stay at CBR a few years ago. Pop is our WDW home.

Pop has queen beds now and the rooms (most/all? I’m not sure where the renovation is at this point) are refurbished. And I think the bus system is much more efficient. It seemed to take forever just to leave CBR property with the multiple stops the busses made.

There is no benefit at the moment that outweighs that construction. I would sat where you are at POP. Even if you were saving $200 by moving I would say stay at POP instead.

What you will get at CBR over Pop.

Larger rooms 344 vs 260 sq ft
Ceiling fans
Double sinks
Pool slides
Hot tubs
Multiple covered bus stops

Now it's up to you to decide if the above are benefits to you.

Can I add that the only way I would even consider switching to CBR is if you can book a preferred room? The hot tub and pool slides are worth changing for only if you book a preferred room. Otherwise you can end up quite a ways away as those things only exist at the main themed pool.

I struggled with this very question quite a bit. I had actually book CBR and decided to switch to POP after some researching regarding all the construction. It was a tough call, but I really didn't want to be in the midst of it and changed my ressies. Good lucky with your decision.

I did the same switch two years ago, before the Pop renovations, so I am sorry if I am listing things that are now at Pop as not being there. Please correct any of those errors for me.
I made a similar switch because CBR offered queen beds (I know those are at pop, and are newer there now), an in room coffee maker, and a sliding door between the room and bathroom area. Good for getting ready while the kids slept. It also had a double sink if I remember correctly.

Also, the buildings are CBR have significantly smaller buildings, so less neighbors to deal with.
I personally like Pop, and loved CBR before construction, so I'm sure you'll be happy in either place.

Pop rooms do now have a sliding door between the sleeping area and sink area. And they added coffee makers too.

Nice! Smart moves by them. I would just stay there, then. The foliage at CBR is nice, but I'm sure the construction kind of dampens the vacation feel of it.

I liked the bus seevice better, imo. I liked being able to sit on the bench and chill. And at the end of the night, it was nice not having to wait in a line so long that it extends to 3 different bus stops. Granted this was in January

Also, since CBR is a moderate, you can park pretty much right by your room if you happen to be driving. Is CBR still under massive construction? That’s the only downside I can see

At first I thought it sounded too good to be true, but I did what you all did and thought, unless I was missing something, it probably wasn't worth a switch. Thanks, everyone! We'll stay at Pop.

None. We did that one year - stayed at POP and then CBR the next year. We spent most of our time at CBR wishing we had stuck with POP. We just didn't love it. :confused3
