What beach should i go to from DL??

i was thinking huntington or newport.

we are checking out of our hotel near disneyland and heading down to san diego. so basicly any beaches in between i am all for.

we are not swimmers but we want to play on the beach and get our feet wet. i would prefer something with close parking

I like Huntington, it's nice! Newport has an arcade I think. Both are pretty good actually.

I am also from LV..and we are going to cali around the same time lol. I am leaving the 11th, going to disney tues and wed (12th, 13th) then 14th going to Huntington (staying at the Huntington Hyatt, i think) Room is gorgous. But anyways, would be funny if we ran into each other lol..and honestly alot of the so cali beaches, are horrible, trash everywhere, water usually freezing, but its what u get lol. Oh ya, and the beach closes at 10pm..we were kicked off last time..Who knew mother nature closed its doors at night lol

and also they do charge to park in the parking lot of the beaches but maybe go check santa monica or venice. We might do that as well

We like Huntington. It is clean and beautiful. enjoy

Huntington is always a favorite of mine. They have a gorgeous pier and lots of shopping and dining right across the street from the ocean. Everytime that I've went, its been pretty busy but it was awesome nonetheless. As far as parking goes, there is parking pretty much everywhere and close to the beach.

Newport beach was amazing! I loved it. It was quiet and peaceful. It also has a couple of piers. I believe parking there was cheaper than Huntington. You can park on the street and use the coin machines in which then you have to walk about a block or they have parking lots which are basically attached to the beach which you do have to pay a small fee for.

I've heard some good things about Corona Del Mar. We plan on checking that out during our upcoming stay.

lol...i noticed that on the august trp thread.. maybe we will run into one another. if i get my mickey swirl t-shirts done i will try and post a pic so you can spot us....

Huntington and Newport do not feel "on the way to San Diego" to me.

Maybe Laguna Beach, but more south "on the way" would be....
