What baby/toddler conveniences are available at on-site hotels?

I have a 2.5yo, and I recently found out that the Disney resorts are supposed to have bed rails in addition to cribs, which made me very happy, because dd is in a toddler bed at home.

It got me thinking. When we were in Hawaii when my older dd was this age, there was a rental service that brought us a toddler bed and even a little potty to use while we were there. Are there any rental services like this at Disney, or does Disney have anything more than the bed rails/cribs?

Other than a crib and bedrails I am not sure Disney has any other items.

My sil used www.abbf.com - babies best friend IIRC and for a fee they will rent just about anything.

Just curious...what company did you use in Hawaii? We're starting to plan a trip for next summer when my DD is 2 and I'd be interested in checking them out if they are available on the islands we end up visiting.

I think we used "A Baby's Away", http://www.babysaway.com/index.html, but when I look at their website now, it doesn't look that familiar. Also, I know we got a little potty from them, but I don't see it on their list now.

Oh well, maybe they've made some changes -- it's been over 5 years!

I do remember that they delivered and picked up the items, and we were really happy with them. The one we used was in Kona, on the Big Island, but it looks like they have a couple other locations, too, on Oahu and Maui.

Disney have anything more than the bed rails/cribs?

They do have rollaway beds also, but they may charge for them. We had one at Pop Century in July. We had requested a room with 2 double beds so that DD4 could have her own bed (she's a thrasher at night). When we checked in all they had was king rooms and they offered us a complimentary rollaway. It was nice for DD (who sleeps in a toddler bed at home) and tends to fall out of hotel beds.

The only drag was they promised us the rollaway "soon" and we ran out to have dinner, etc. When we came back, no rollaway was there yet. We called and were told it would be after 11 PM before it got there and DD goes to bed LONG before that. So we suffered for one night all of us in the bed, but the next day it was there and it was wonderful for DD.

Oh, yeh! I'm getting ssooo excited too! Well, really I've been excited for a while, now I'm getting nervous that I won't have time to do everything I need to do before the trip! (organize all my info, fix a tear in dd's Sleeping Beauty dress, buy a new camcorder, order groceries from wegoshop...) Aaaaacckk!! of course, instead, I'm here on the DISBoards...

We used A Baby's Best Friend the last time we went to WDW and they were awesome! We rented a toddler bed, double stroller, toys and pool toys. We were at the Beach Club and the pool toys included some really nice beach/sand toys for the little ones, (bucket, trucks, digging tools, etc.). ABBF includes what you can use depending on the resort where you are staying. In our case they were aware of Stormalong Bay and the sandy beach area! I can't say enough good things about them and their service.

Also, they have a fabulous website and everything was clean beyond belief. Extremely professional and courteous.
