What attractions do you wish would come back?

the ride through the living seas

Rumor has it that they will be back soon.

The Main Street Electrical parade, boy do I have special memories of that one!

Tapestry of Nations Parade, and
What was that show in MGM where Lucy and Ethel were eating the chocolates and an audience member could get in the show and then they would play it back? We saw it in 1989 and it was great! :thumbsup2

Someone mentioned the Electrical Light Parade. I totally agree. Don't get me wrong I like spectromagic, but I Love the Electrical Light Parade!

I still hear the music from the parade in my sleep. I know that they bring it back occasionaly maybe they'll do it again soon.

River country cos I never got to do it.
Tapestry of nations parade. Epcot needs a parade and the tune was awesome.

I wish Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was still around. My dd would love to ride that one as we call someone close to us Mr. Toad.

I also miss 20,000 leagues.

And the original Tiki Birds definitely need to come back. I know that rides and shows need updated sometimes but come on that one just got a little lame. We still go to it but it's just not the same.

The one I hope don't go that's been on the verge of disappearing for awhile is the Carousel of Progress. That has always been one of my favorites and my dd loves it but I know it's days are numbered. I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Mr toads wild ride (but don't take away Pooh!!!)
River country
20,000 leagues under the sea

Now this is a memory from when I was a child, so I am not 100% sure it was at MK, but I am pretty sure. I remeber there being a Sky ride. You could only ride it one way across the park and then you had to get off and wait in line to ride it back to the other side of the park. I'm glad that is gone and I hope it never comes back. They really take away from the view.

That was the Skyway I think. I remember it also and it was at Magic Kingdome. The entrance is still there to the side of IASW. I was telling dd7 about it when we were there in October and after we came back she brought home a book from the library at school about Disney World from back in the 70's and it had a picture of it. I miss that one too.

The Mickey Mouse Revue (location is currently occupied by Micky's Philharmonic). It was everything "classic Disney" and I'll never forget it.

Another vote for Hunchback. Loved that show so much. Still drive around listening to the CD. It made me a more literate person.... the show made me go read the book. The show was better. :rotfl2:

Also miss Superstar Stage. Nothing beats amateur talent having fun for the audience to have fun, too. :rotfl:

Tarzan Rocks, Hunchback Show, Super star Tv( I was one of the singer/dancers), Animation Tour with Animators, 20,000 leagues, Alien Encounter, Legend Of the Lion King, Jungle Book Show

Horizons, by far the most inspiring Disney attraction I was ever on and its sad to see what replaced it.

As for Mr. Toad, I never got on it until about a year before it was gone...knowing that it was an old ride, I wasn't expecting much, but I LOVED it...it was very good, especially the end of it. I'll be able to see the Disneyland version soon though!

They had a Jungle Book Show?????? would LOVE to see that!!! Wish they would put one in AK!

Horizons, World of Motion, Dream Flight, and the Original Imagination. I could ride these every time I go and I still wish I could.

I was able to ride Mr Toads Wild Ride when I went to DisneyLand last October. It looked funny for a 32 year old man that was solo getting on that "kiddie" ride but I didn't care. It brought back memories when I was a kid and when my children was able to ride it for the first and last time.

The backstage tour is so boring now! I miss seeing the house from the Golden Girls! If they're not at least going to bring back the houses, then they need to do something the beef up that ride.

Thank You! I thought I was the only one who missed the Golden Girls' house! When I was 10 and first visited MGM in 1990, it was literally one of my best memories to see the Golden Girls house. Love that show...

The tour is boring now, sad to say. There's no more costuming area to look at either. I haven't been on it in awhile, but is Walt's plane still there? And the props from that show, "Blackjack Savage?" Just a side note, because if anyone remembers this show, it'll be someone here...

Does anyone remember that show at all? I was just a kid, but I think it was about a ghost of a pirate who helps a modern day guy solve crimes or something like that. I just always remembered that show fondly. I found it strange, though, that they mentioned the props from that show on the tour. If I recall, it lasted one, maybe two seasons.

Someone help me out and back me up on this :lovestruc

I can only say what I miss about Disneyland:

* The submarine ride. I used to love that ride (although I'm totally claustrophobic now and would never go on it again even if it were still around!)

* The skyway cars. I loved seeing everything from the sky!

* America Sings! This one was by far my favorite and my so sad it's gone. I loved that.

* Adventure to Inner Space (I think that's what it was called?) where you get shrunk

* Bear Country Jamboree. I was so excited to hear that it's still around at WDW! Yeay!!

JULIE going to WDW 4/1-4/8/2006
