What one Disney attraction did you walk into not even thinking anything about it, just walking in to "check it off your list" and found an attraction you would put in your TOP 3?

For me: Mickeys Phillharmagic

With it being in Fantasyland I assumed it was just something stupid for little kids, but afterwards it skyrocketed to my TOP 3. I absolutely LOVED it!

I actually snuck away from our family vacation one night and went to MK alone to re-ride this and see Wishes a second time.

For me, this would have to be Turtle Talk with Crush.

My DSis and I visited Epcot last September and we went to see this to, as you said, cross it off our list. We were just curious. OH MY GOODNESS!!! The interaction was wonderful between Crush and the children.

My children are adults, and I have no grandchildren yet, but this attraction was so much fun my DSis and I have this high on our list to do again when we return in 23 days!.

I completely agree about Mickey's Philharmagic! I saw it last March with my dd after everyone else went back to POFQ. Oh my gosh, I loved it and can't wait till MNSSHP to take dh, ds and dDad.

Mine would be Soarin'. I'd read a lot about it on the boards before I went, but when I actually rode it, I was just blown away by it. I plan to ride it as many times as possible on my next trip!

Magic Kingdom: Mickey's Philarmagic

Epcot: Turtle Talk with Crush

MGM Studios: Rock n' Roller Coaster

Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest

Definately Turtle Talk and Philharmagic. Also taking the train to Rafiki's Conservation (DD LOVES petting all the animals) and going accross to Tom Sawyer's Island.

Mine would be Buzz Lightyear. I didn't know anything about it the first time I rode it. I think the competitive streak gets the best of me and I want to ride it over and over to get a better score. :lmao:

Agree with the above posters and wanted to add a comment about Rafiki's planet watch.....DS 5 loved it!! From the cool train ride out there to the goats to meeting characters with NO lines (pocahontis, rafiki, stanley) and getting to watch animals and touch a little croc....so while most books and websites poo-poo Rafiki's I highly recommend it with kids under 6!!

Mine would have to be Rafiki's Planet Watch at AK. It was raining and we had done everything so we thought well why not. The train ride in was delightful. We even got to see the baby rhino that was not yet out for public display. When we got there, my kids were thrilled to see Rafiki and Pocohantas with no wait. We all loved the displays and the booths were you listento the sounds of the rainforest in the dark through headphones was AMAZING! Made us jump and laugh out loud. Very cool! We spent about an hour just wandering the trail and enjoying all htere was to see. Got an ice cream to eat on the way back (yeas theylet us take it on the train!) and left feeling very happy we had tried it. A not to be missed hidden gem! Just a note - my kids are very cool 11 and 14 year olds (if you know what I mean!) when at home but all bets are off when we are at the world!

For me, it was "Flights of Wonder" at Animal Kingdom.
Very entertaining.
Like Animal Kingdom is not "just a zoo" -this is not "just a bird show".

I was suprised the Seas with Nemo was such a repetitive, dull ride. "Where's Nemo? Where's Nemo? There he is! Where? Where's Nemo?"

The President's Hall of Fame - I hadn't seen this show since 1977 at DL and didn't care for it then - just last month took the school aged DKs who are learning about Washington and Lincoln and the show was fascintating. I think the film they show in the beginning is a bit dated, but the actual Presidents are incredible.

I love how when they are introducing each one, all the others look that in their direction as if to acknowlege them as well, and I loved how Lincoln (who wasn't the best public speaker) kept nervously looking at his notes while the other Presidents were speaking.

i didn't have much disney experience, so the biggest shockers to me were.

Good

Spaceship Earth
Fantasmic
Jungle Cruise
The Great Movie Ride
Dinosaur!
The Land
The Norway Ride
Indiana Jones
Honey I Shrunk The Audience
Muppet's 3D
Turtle Talk With Crush
Splash Mountain

(I'm easily impressed)

Bad
Stitch 3D
Journey Into Narnia
Sounds Dangerous

Was expecting Better
Seas with Nemo
Space Mountain

Biggest "surprise" would have to be Buzz Lightyear.... There are so many attractions I adore, but this one surpirsed me with how much I enjoyed it. I went ont it for the sake of the kids I was with, thinking, "why am I waiting in line for this??" But it was AWESOME!! I am not sure just why, but everyone seems to get a kick out of this one.

The first thing that came to mind was R'n'RC. I hated roller coasters before that, but after I rode it, I couldn't stop smiling. Also, ToT was a shock. I won't ride it now because I really don't like the dropping sensation, but the detail and imagineering that make up that ride really blew me away and I still consider it to be one of the best rides out there, just for sheer visual effects.

MK: First time I went on Pirates Of The carribean I was blown away. This was the day before message boards and guides telling you what every attraction is like. I had no idea what it was going to be and loved it.

EP: Biggest Surprise would be "The Land". Enjoyed it much more than I expected to.

AK: Animal King Show surprised me on how great it was.

MGM: Rock 'n' Rollercoaster....The take off gets you pumped!!!!

Expedition Everest. Just so much better that I expected. A real winner methinks.

When I read the question, I immediate knew my answer would be Mickey's Philharmagic. It was GREAT! I can't wait to see it again next January.:goodvibes

On my first trip, my favorite was Mickey's Philharmagic. With my second trip it was Soarin.

However, I am still amazed at how happy and surprised Philharmagic made me even with the 4th viewing!
