Share your fears and stories so I don't feel like the only crazy one.

So one of my most crazy fears is bugs. But specifically grasshoppers and crickets.
I can't do an enclosed MRI (and the open ones aren't much better).
I check my closets and under my bed every night in the whole house to make sure someone like Michael or Jason isn't hiding somewhere waiting to kill me!
Even though my son keeps telling me that's not how murders usually happen, LOL. He's 30 and thinks I'm nuts but I live alone.

Getting into a fatal or severe accident while driving. I'll feel much safer when everyone has one of the cars that drive themselves.
I don't know, too many fatal accidents with self driving cars for me. I'll take my chances driving myself. I was in Phoenix when they pulled the self driving cars off the road because of that.

Self driving cars have a far lower accident rate than human drivers. You have zero control over the other drivers around you. Your risk of severe injury or death while driving is far higher than any other activity that you do.

I don't know that I'd call them fears (I don't really think like that) but I despise snakes and worry about having to nurse my DH through his old-age while being solely responsible for supporting us (he's 13 years older than me). His "fears" are dropping dead before he gets a chance to retire and dryer vent fires.

Tell that to the pedestrians that keep getting splatted by self driving cars.

Oooh, we had one of those in the middle of the night when I was in 5th grade. Still have fears from that night. Luckily my brother woke up and was able to wake everybody up before it spread too far. We attribute the way our house's basement was built (cinder-block walls and concrete flooring) to the minimal loss we had and our whole house not burning down. Thankfully we just lost the washer/dryer and the clothes that were around it.

Yup car accidents is my number one. Worse since both kids are driving now.

Second would be my husband would die before me . Been there done that when I was younger.

Getting Arrested for looking like I am intoxicated when I leave the gym backstory is I will leave the gym completely off balance somedays and I don’t know what sets it off

Becoming incapacitated in any way. Next to that, blindness. The idea of losing any degree of autonomy and self-sufficiency terrifies me.

I don't let it influence how I live my live, though. Not much, anyway.

when you lose one of the five senses one of the other 5 will double or inhance for me vision is bad that is why I would rather walk then drive but my hearing is better because of it

That is something I have the opportunity to work with every single day as my career. Working with people who have a brand new debility and often times at their worst, it's really hard not to think about it. Thankfully, I'm in a position to help them. But sometimes it's hard when there's nothing you can do to help.

One of DH's best friends is a retired FD captain and he's told some stories. It's not irrational and we really should get the duct professionally cleaned. :scratchin
