My sister says she never takes a job unless the hours are 9-5 with an hour for lunch. (Basically while she's in the office. She has had jobs where she's traveled, etc.) And she's always found them! I've NEVER found a job like that. I slave away from 8:30-5 with 1/2 hour for lunch. :( Not what I want. How about you?

I work 7 to 3:30 and I LOVE it! We do have flex time here and that's what I chose. We have the option for a 30 min. or an hour long lunch. I chose the 30 minute one.

If they allowed us to work 6:30 to 3:00 I'd do that!

I work 6:00-3:30 with 1/2 hour of Lunch and get every other Friday off. I can come in anywhere between 6:00-9:00 and work 8 hours with a 1/2 hour lunch if I don't want Friday off. I prefer working 9 1/2 hours and getting a Friday off.

Another 7:00 to 3:30! 1/2 hour for lunch. I love getting off early!

I work half-time. I start at 7:15 am and I get out of there at 11:10. So that's not exactly 1/2 time, but that's 'cause I work 19.5 hours per week - not 20 hrs per week. I work for a school district and they hire a lot of just-less-than-half-time workers so that they don't have to pay benefits. Once you get to 20 hrs per week, they have to offer health & retirement benefits (not as good as full-time, but they have to offer it.)

8-5 with an hour lunch

7-2:35 with a 15 min. lunch.
Then I take my work home and do anything like 1 hour to 5 hours of grading.

I work 12-6 on Sundays, 11-7 M-Thur. No real lunchbreak. You can eat while standing behind the counter. No real breaks, either. I hate it.

Depends on the grade level

7-2:30 high school
8 -3:00 elementary
8:30 - 3:30 middle school
1/2 lunch at all levels

Once I start interpreting it will again depend on which grade level I get but I also will have the ability to take freelance assignments at other hours as well

I do interpret now but not for the school system yet.

8-5 with an hour for lunch. Boy would I love to work 7-3:30 with 1/2 hour for lunch. But when would I DIS?

Right now I'm in final exams, so my "working hours" are pretty much every waking hour of the day! :p :o

When I start work though, it will probably be something like 7:30 to just after 4:00.

6:45-3:15 with 1/2 hour for lunch...sometimes longer. My work has flex hours everyone is to be in by 9am.

9 - 5 with one hour for lunch.
Husband works 7 - 3:30 w/ 1/2 hour lunch. You'd think he would cook dinner for me, lol. I guess he would if he could cook at all.

I'm usually in by 7:30, and out by 5 with 1 hr lunch. Depending on the situation, I'm in here ealier or stay later. The joys of being a salaried employee.

I work on a three week rotation. I work 3 nights a week, 4 days a week, and alternate. I get a 3 day weekend in there every 3 weeks, one weekend I get sunday off, the other weekend I work it all. My normal day off is Tuesday.
My hours vary depending on if they open early or close late. I do get an hour for lunch and a paid break if I remember to take it.
I would love a set schedule, daytime preferred.

I dont even know what DH's real starting time is(8:00? 8:30?), but he always works 7:00-5:00. Lunch is if he can fit it in.

I used to work 8:30-5:00(usually it went later than 5:00) and I didnt like that. Then I had the best hours 7:30-3:30. Loved that!

well start time varies but I always work till midnignt or 12:30.
this week it was 6-12,2-12,3:30-12, next week will be 2-12,3-12,1-12.

From the time that I get up until the time I go to bed.

I agree that 8:30-5 stinks. Especially if you have a child(ren)! At my last job, I did manage to get those hours changed to 7:30-4. Getting out at 4 was great, getting in at 7:30 stunk. LOL! When I worked until 5, it stunk! I had enough time to pick up son, make dinner, do homework with him, get his bath done, and he was off to bed. Hello! Not spending much decent time with him! Getting out at 4 helped. Whoever decided that a work week would be 40 hours any way?
