I need my fast food receipts. I'm a nanny and use a "work issued" credit card when I buy lunch for my charges. I give the receipts to my bosses, and THEY can throw them away or keep them or reconcile them against the statement or whatever.

A couple of months ago I mentioned to DH that I had encountered a string of places that kept my change. It was weird, and irritating. I haven't noticed it since then. Of course, I almost NEVER have cash so that could be why! My personal transactions are usually by debit, and my work transactions go on the work credit card. On the rare occasions that I pay with cash I do like to get my change.

The 7-11 near my house has forgiven a penny or two that I owed them (i.e., the total was $1.51, I gave $2, cashier gave me $.50.) Since then, I have no problems dropping a penny or two from my change in the "need a penny" dish. We've got a nice relationship that way. If we don't have that relationship, though, give me my dang change.
