I'm making ADRs for our upcoming anniversary trip and I want to have some special meals. Below is a list of some of the places we are considering. We can't chose all of them so I'd love some opinions and also some advice on what to order.

Thanks so much!

Citrico's- we are staying at GF so this seems like a good choice. What's the best thing to eat here?

Grand Floridian Cafe- again since we will be at GF I would like to try this one. Do you recommend lunch or dinner and what's good?

Park Faire breakfast- I like to do one character meal each trip and have never had breakfast here before.

Ohana's- not sure I will be able to find an ADR here. We ate here last fall and enjoyed it but not sure it is best for couples.

Kona lunch- the menu looks appealling.

Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch- never eaten here.

Artist Pointe- I think I've settled on this one. Not sure what to order.

The Wave- need some advice about this one.

California Grill- DH doesn't want to eat here, but I would like to try it. Should I try and convince him?

Tony's lunch- ate dinner here a couple of years ago. Might like to try lunch here or...

LTT lunch- we usually eat here and enjoy it.

Bistro de Paris- need some advice about this one too.

Nine Dragons- we really like Chinese food. What's good here?

San Angel Inn- love the look of this restaurant. Last time we ate here the food was just okay.

Biergarten- always wanted to try here, but DH isn't convinced.

Tutto's- we're probably going here. It's a favorite.

Marrakesh- never tried this one.

Brown Derby- this is DH's favorite. Wondering what else is good besides the Cobb salad.

I've listed 18 and need to narrow it down to 10.:scared1:

Thanks for the advice-

We always have the same problem. We normally try narrow it down to foods not widely available where we live. The ore exotic the better for us, I guess it would depend on how adventerous your appetite is.

Thanks for the advice-

Alright, let see what I can do here. 10 you say? Here we go
1.Artist Point - order the buffalo or salmon, the smokey portobello for a starter and cobbler for dessert.
2.Brown Derby - they have a duck dish with duck confit and duck sausage that's actually very good. I was nervous because it's duck but it was delicious
3. Biergarten - I HATE buffets with every fibre of my being, but rather enjoyed this one. The food was good and fresh, music good, and kids around me were sufficiently entertained and didn't interfere with my meal at all (which was my big concern)
4.Bistro De Paris - I haven't been here, but a good friend of mine went for her honeymoon, and it's now their "must do" every trip. They've been about 5 times now, ordering something different every time and have yet to have a bad meal. They say the 3-course prix fixe menu is a great deal with delicious food.
5. Kona- been for dinner and food was quite good! Pretty sure you'd be ok ordering anything here
6. GF Cafe - apparently they have burgers with asparagus and lobster on them.... that's what I'd order just to say I had a burger with lobster and asparagus on it, lol
7. California Grill - Really quite nice, food is good and tasty. I had a risotto which was very nicely done, and it's easy to screw up risotto.
8. LTT - You said you enjoy it, why not stick with at least one or two old faves?
9. Park Faire - You said you wanted a character breakfast, and it tends to get good reviews. Plus the added bonus of not having to leave your hotel for breakfast!
10. Citricos - I've heard great things. If it were me, I'd order the snapper.

A few of the other ones on your list I'd give my 2cents on are
Nine Dragons - It's a big miss in my opinion. Unless they've redone the menu, I get better food at the 9.99 Chinese buffet where I live
GF Cafe - Had breakfast here last trip and it left a lot to be desired, but I've heard the lunch and dinner menus are good so just skip breakfast. OR dont' order french toast if you have breakfast there, lol
San Angel Inn - If the food was just ok last time, it'll probably be just ok this time.

Hope I offered at least ONE useful suggestion! Happy eating!

When are you going and will you be on a dining plan? Whether or not you're on a DP (and if free dining is offered when you go) may sway my choices since a few of the ones you mentioned are 2 TS credit. Also, if you're going early 2012, Tutto will be closed for renovations so that would eliminate that one.

For a special trip like yours, I would NOT choose San Angel Inn, Bistro de Paris, Marrakesh or Nine Dragons. Particularly Nine Dragons. They are the least popular restaurants on your list and therefore nothing special IMO. Nine Dragons gets very mixed reviews, like Teppan Edo, and presumably because you can probably find Chinese/Japanese that is far better in your home town.

WCC has a better dinner than lunch, IMO. Especially if you plan on getting the skillet. I wouldn't do Citricos, Grand Floridian Cafe AND 1900 PF - too many at one resort, which I guess is fine, but I prefer to mix it up. If you want to throw in a character meal, I'd suggest Tusker House at AK as it's one of the better ones. If it's princesses that you want, many rave about Akershus in Epcot.

Ohana is difficult to get a dinner ADR at, however we had no problems getting a breakfast ADR here, and were even able to change our time to a later ADR several months after our 180 day mark. Might be an option if you just want to check the place out and can't get a dinner ADR.

Enjoy your trip :thumbsup2

Grand Floridian Cafe is nice. Maybe a bit less chaotic than many other WDW eateries. The food was pretty good too (grade B).

I love Marrakesh, and it's easy to get into because a lot of folks are afraid to try "foreign" food. Here's a pic of my last meal there:

Grand Floridian Cafe- again since we will be at GF I would like to try this one. Do you recommend lunch or dinner and what's good? We had dinner here one night when we were all so exhausted we couldn't go on. It was very relaxing and the food was outstanding.

Park Faire breakfast- I like to do one character meal each trip and have never had breakfast here before. We have not eaten here yet, but have ADRs for November.

Kona lunch- the menu looks appealling. We have only done dinner here, but found it to be delicious. The drinks can't be beat.

Tony's lunch- ate dinner here a couple of years ago. Might like to try lunch here or...We ended up with an impromptu lunch here for my DD's 4th birthday last year. We were pleasantly surprised.

Biergarten- always wanted to try here, but DH isn't convinced. One of our family's favorites. We eat here every time. We love to get up and polka. The food is surprisingly good.

It is so hard to make choices. Especially when you have old favorites and want to try new adventures too.

I'll comment on the ones at which we've eaten:

Grand Floridian Cafe- again since we will be at GF I would like to try this one. Do you recommend lunch or dinner and what's good?
We've eaten here several times, always for lunch, and I always look forward to going back. Atmosphere is wonderful; food is above average; and service is average to above average

Park Faire breakfast- I like to do one character meal each trip and have never had breakfast here before.
The characters here are very good, but the place is crowded (by that I mean the tables are close together) and the buffet is OK but not out of the ordinary. I'm a fan of the breakfast at Cape May, but there are only three characters - Minnie, Donald, and Goofy.

Kona lunch- the menu looks appealling.
We've only eaten breakfast here.

Artist Pointe- I think I've settled on this one. Not sure what to order.
We've had several good meals here. I always order a steak. DH likes the salmon and the buffalo.

The Wave- need some advice about this one.
We ate here last September and really enjoyed it. Service was a little slow, but the food was very good. I would go back.

California Grill- DH doesn't want to eat here, but I would like to try it. Should I try and convince him? Love the CG - the variety, the atmosphere, the service. Convince him!

LTT lunch- we usually eat here and enjoy it. Agree!

Bistro de Paris- need some advice about this one too. We're eating here for the first time Tuesday evening. I've read very good reviews about it, one of which said, on property, it was second only to V&A.

Nine Dragons- we really like Chinese food. What's good here? Ate there once and we won't go back. The tables are close together and the food was nothing different than what we can get in southern Indiana.

Biergarten- always wanted to try here, but DH isn't convinced. I always enjoy my meal here. We try to go for a late lunch to catch the band. Beer is good and plentiful.

Thanks for the advice-

Good luck. Half the fun of going to WDW is the eating. popcorn::

Citrico's- we are staying at GF so this seems like a good choice. What's the best thing to eat here? The "fanciest" we ate at (except for V&A), service was great (though we didn't have bad service anywhere except Maya Grill), we all liked what we ate, but I don't remember any details, except someone got the chocolate cake/crown for dessert - almost to pretty to eat. A good couples place.

Grand Floridian Cafe- again since we will be at GF I would like to try this one. Do you recommend lunch or dinner and what's good?We had dinner here after a day at MK, good food, nice atmosphere, its a pretty restaurant, but no "disney feel"

Ohana's- not sure I will be able to find an ADR here. We ate here last fall and enjoyed it but not sure it is best for couples. Breakfast was good and fun

Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch- never eaten here.Noisy and fun atmosphere, we only had BF there, but liked the food and fun.

LTT lunch- we usually eat here and enjoy it. Rest of family though food was so-so, I had salmon cakes which were really good. Had a late lunch and after we were done, parade was close to starting so watched from outside the steps there

My 2cents on the ones we ate at on our Xmas trip (DxDP). We'd go back to any of the ones I listed.

Citrico's- Amazing meal and Service: Filet or Veal Shank

Grand Floridian Cafe- Very good for lunch :)

Park Faire breakfast- Good Breakfast! Even my fiance likes it and he's not a breakfast person!

Ohana's- If you can get it... Get it!

Kona lunch- breakfast and dinner are good... lunch probably is too!

Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch- it was better than I expected--but don't know if I would plan to specifically go over there. we were just bored one day and were pleasantly surprised for lunch--never dinner.

Artist Pointe- After good reviews... we're trying this in November

The Wave- I hated it... he liked it. Not looking forward to going back--not my cup of tea.

California Grill- Used to love it here, but seems to be going down hill for us. If you can get an ADR--go for it--but if he really doesn't want to--then skip!

Tony's lunch- Ewwwwwww

LTT lunch- Nice lunch--we like it!

Bistro de Paris- Haven't heard great things--we're passing for now.

Nine Dragons- Yum! Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, General Tsos Appetizer! Yum!

San Angel Inn- We like it for lunch--We've had good luck--but if it didn't fit, I could pass.

Biergarten- we don't like that kind of food--so we pass.

Tutto's- we loved it till they changed their menu. via napoli is better to us now.

Marrakesh- never tried this--lots of almonds on the menu and i'm allergic... so probably not the best place for me to walk into, lol.

Brown Derby- haven't had this since I was in a stroller :scared1: it just hasn't fit our plans, and we've switched it out once we were there twice... maybe someday we'll get there :)

The menu changes frequently but the best dish I've had here is the short ribs. I've never had anything I didn't care for; it's a favorite restaurant of ours.

Grand Floridian Cafe- again since we will be at GF I would like to try this one. Do you recommend lunch or dinner and what's good? We have lunch here if we are staying at GF but I don't think it's that good.

Park Faire breakfast- I like to do one character meal each trip and have never had breakfast here before. Have not done breakfast here.

Ohana's- not sure I will be able to find an ADR here. We ate here last fall and enjoyed it but not sure it is best for couples. Not a place I'd pick for a couples dinner.

Kona lunch- the menu looks appealling. Better than GF Cafe IMO and it's a short walk unless the walkway is closed due to the current construction at GF.

Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch- never eaten here. We've eaten at almost every TS at WDW and this one ranks at the bottom of the list. I hate the food, hate the antics.

Artist Pointe- I think I've settled on this one. Not sure what to order. I'd get the buffalo since it's something you can't get everywhere. This is a nice restaurant but not one of my favorites. Although the berry cobbler is one of my favorite desserts at WDW and it's big enough for 4 people.

The Wave- need some advice about this one. One of my favorite places for lunch in the MK area. I like it better than GF Cafe and Kona Cafe.

California Grill- DH doesn't want to eat here, but I would like to try it. Should I try and convince him? We go for sushi but the entrees here have always been a letdown compared to the appetizers. Now we just order appetizers and a bottle of wine. IMO, the best time to dine here is after the fireworks and the noisy crowd has left the building.

Tony's lunch- ate dinner here a couple of years ago. Might like to try lunch here or... Not a favorite of mine. The only Italian I like at WDW is Il Mulino.

LTT lunch- we usually eat here and enjoy it. I really enjoy the salad they have on the lunch menu.

Bistro de Paris- need some advice about this one too. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants at WDW. They used to not have a children's menu so this was always an adult only dining experience. Now, they are allowing kids to order off the Chef's menu from downstairs and the reveiws of what has happened to this restaurant are not good. We haven't been in about 2 years. Now we head over to the Swan/Dolphin and eat at one of those 3 upscale places instead--they are still pretty adult only.

Nine Dragons- we really like Chinese food. What's good here? This is one of the five restaurants at WDW we have not tried.

San Angel Inn- love the look of this restaurant. Last time we ate here the food was just okay. This one ranks in our bottom 3. We love Mexican food, travel to Mexico often enough, and this place is terrible IMO.

Biergarten- always wanted to try here, but DH isn't convinced. I'm not a huge fan of buffets but we do love Biergarten. It's pretty noisy but it can be a lot of fun if you get seated with like minded people at your table. We had a blast last time with two groups of all adults on either side of us.

Tutto's- we're probably going here. It's a favorite. I prefer Via Napoli to Tutto's but neither hold a candle to Il Mulino at the Swan.

Marrakesh- never tried this one. We like this one okay but we honestly prefer the counter service in Morocco to the TS.

Brown Derby- this is DH's favorite. Wondering what else is good besides the Cobb salad. We enjoy this one too. Although my husband likes the Cobb, I can't stand the texture of it. I usually get the fish dish here. The current one isn't as good as the prior seared ahi but it's still a decent piece of fish that is cooked properly.

I've listed 18 and need to narrow it down to 10.:scared1:

Thanks for the advice-

The ones I'd definitely remove are Whispering Canyon, Bistro, San Angel, Tony's, Tutto. Then I'd probably also take out GF Cafe, Ohana, Marrakesh.

Citrico's- we are staying at GF so this seems like a good choice. What's the best thing to eat here? The food is out of this world! I have had a chicken dish and the Italian filet and both were amazing but the winner is the arancini (rice ball appie) and the short ribs...sooooo good!

Grand Floridian Cafe- again since we will be at GF I would like to try this one. Do you recommend lunch or dinner and what's good? Great place for dinner, large portions and everything is delish! I love the shrimp pasta

Park Faire breakfast- I like to do one character meal each trip and have never had breakfast here before. Would rather eat counter service breakfast..this place was ick

Ohana's- not sure I will be able to find an ADR here. We ate here last fall and enjoyed it but not sure it is best for couples. Its ok but there are many better choices out there

Kona lunch- the menu looks appealling. AMAZING! We had a great, quiet, relaxing and delish lunch here

Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch- never eaten here. Never again...food was terrible

The Wave- need some advice about this one. Great choice, the food is terrific, the atmosphere is very signature like

California Grill- DH doesn't want to eat here, but I would like to try it. Should I try and convince him? My DH didnt want to eat here either but he is hooked...we are going again in Oct, this will be our 5th time eating here

Tony's lunch- ate dinner here a couple of years ago. Might like to try lunch here or... Not a fan of the lunch menu, prefer the dinner

LTT lunch- we usually eat here and enjoy it. Very good but filling, skip dinner if you are going to eat here. The chicken dumplings was excellent, more like soup and the pot roast was better than my moms!

Nine Dragons- we really like Chinese food. What's good here? Our first meal here was not good but we tried it again in May and it was excellent! The iced jasmine tea is worth going for

San Angel Inn- love the look of this restaurant. Last time we ate here the food was just okay. The first few times we ate here it was great but the last time not so much, prefer the CS location instead

Biergarten- always wanted to try here, but DH isn't convinced. Been here many times, not the best anymore, would rather grab a braut and kraut from the CS location

Tutto's- we're probably going here. It's a favorite. Great choice!

I'd cut WCC, Tonys, nine dragons, san angel, the wave, and GFC (I think the menu is pretty limited there)

I'm making ADRs for our upcoming anniversary trip and I want to have some special meals. Below is a list of some of the places we are considering. We can't chose all of them so I'd love some opinions and also some advice on what to order.............

Citrico's- yes... good choice. only been here once but excellent service, great timing with DS, and delicious upscale food.

Park Fare breakfast- You are staying at the Grand Floridian? This is a must do. Delicious breakfast food. The menu pretty much has everything GF Cafe has and more. And Mary Poppins is so real! The Mad Hatter is a hoot! Alice in Wonderland is... well, she's just Alice.... a bore.

Ohana's- I won't go here again. The check in process in 2010 was a nightmare (took 30 minutes just to through the line just to let them know we were there), then they claimed we were late??? Manager didn't care. Come on... the food is not that great here...

Kona lunch- flies all over the dessert display..... yuck.

Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch -- been here twice for dinner. Food is OK, not great. Loads of corny antics (more so at dinner) and yummy milkshakes. Why I'm returning here again this next trip.... I don't know....

California Grill- We had 2 great dinners here. Nice view at sunset. Fireworks would be better seen in Magic Kingdom not here. Sushi good. Had a nice fish entree -- Pacific Monchong, a deep sea Hawaiian fish, nice to have something different prepared very well.

LTT lunch- pot roast.... and then the short bread dessert. Enough said.

Biergarten- I thought the buffet was quite good. Fun place to eat if you don't mind sitting at a table with other people. One of the lesser expensive buffets.

Marrakesh- I like this place. But it's not popular. Love the music and belly dancing.

Brown Derby- We liked our steak filets very much! I had a grouper entree that was delicious. And they did a very nice job with an oyster and brie cheese soup -- loads of delicious oysters and great flavor for a creative soup.

Citirco's-Never ate here before.

Grand Floridian Cafe- Only had breakfast here, which was really good. Would definitely like to try lunch or dinner.

Park Faire breakfast- Never ate here before either.

Ohana's- Just ate here last week and we probably wouldn't go back. The food was ok. There are just other places we would like to try next time.

Kona lunch- Love Kona!! The last time we ate there was for breakfast, delicious!! We liked lunch there as well.

Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch- Never ate here before either.

Artist Pointe- We just ate here Friday night for my daughter's 13th birthday dinner. We all really enjoyed it and everyone had something different. I got the scallops with the risotto and just loved it. The portobello soup was really good too.

The Wave- Ate here for breakfast last week as well. The sweet potato pancakes are out of this world!! My husband wanted to go back again, but we just didn't have enough time.

California Grill- We LOVE it here!! We were just there twice over the last two weeks we were in Disney. The filet is amazing, the appetizers are too!!

Tony's lunch- We always eat at Tony's. We enjoy it here. Just ate here too, and it was really good.

LTT lunch- Never ate here either.

Bistro de Paris- Never ate here, but we just ate at Chefs de France. It was our second time there, and we really liked it. We probably won't eat there again though, just because there are too many other places to try.

Nine Dragons- Never ate here.

San Angel Inn- We ate here on our first day at Epcot, a tradition. Our food was really good, better than it has ever been.

Biergarten- Ate here once, just not my cup of tea.

Tutto's- Never ate here, but Via Napoli is very good. Just ate there on Sunday before heading home, and the pizza was excellent! Will definitely go back next time.

Marrakesh- Never tried this one either.

Brown Derby- We eat here every trip as well. Our meal this time was better than it has ever been. It was delicious!! My husbands favorite steak!! If you are looking for steaks, my favorite was Le Cellier!! My filet was excellent!!

Have a great trip!!

1900 PF is not a bad option for breakfast; we ate there last year and thought it was OK, although the food was nothing 'special' except maybe the strawberry soup.

Ohana is actually great for couples if you choose a later dinner time. Bonus points for making an ADR 1 - 1.5 hours before Wishes. When you check in, note that you are an adult couple, anniversary trip, and would be happy to wait for a window table. Window tables by definition are quieter because you're out of the main traffic flow. While you eat you get to watch the Castle softly changing colors in the distance. When Wishes starts they dim the lights and pipe in the music, and you've got a pretty decent view.

Kona - yes.

WCC - no. NOTHING romantic/quiet here for couples.

AP - yes, and way too many things on the menu that appeal to me.

The Wave - honestly, I want to try this one for BREAKFAST, especially now that they offer a buffet as well as menu selections. It just strikes me as quieter/more 'grown-up'.

LTT v Tonys - for lunch I'd prefer LTT; for dinner, Tony's.

Bistro - supposed to be very good, but is not on any of the Dining Plans.

San Angel - depends on how long it's been since you were there. They have a newer menu; for the most recent choices, Google up San Angel Inn itself and click on the link for the WDW location rather than relying on a Disney site.

Biergarten - we really like the food here. It's not a private dining experience, but it is fun. While there are lots of kids, it is not 'kid-centric' in the way that a character meal or someplace like WCC is. If you think you'd enjoy Oktoberfest in Germany, you'll like the Disney version. Including the beers.

Tutto - DH does not really like Italian food, but I keep trying to get him here because I like the look of the menu. Do note that they'll be closed for refurb Jan - April 2012. I wouldn't be surprised if they refurb'd the menu too, so you might have to wait and see.

Marrakesh - this is a really, really good option for a slightly exotic and romantic dinner for an adult couple.

Whatever you choose - happy anniversary!
