All-

This is such a somber day. The service was beautiful and Michaels daughter was so gracious and humble. It's all so very sad for such a talented young star to come down to a tragic end, especially like this. I always enjoyed MJ's music, and I just loved to watch his dance moves. He was a genuis to put it mildly. He transcended all races and age barriers and he was loved by most.

My only issues are why is it now that everyone and I mean everyone is now his best friend? Where were these people when MJ really needed them? MJ lived among sharks that wanted every little piece of him and his money. Heck even his own father was on the red carpet at the BET awards 2 days after Michael died promoting his own music. :confused3 I felt sorry for MJ hence his childhood was so very bleak. I think he was a very troubled individual screaming out for help. It's a real shame because I believe he really loved his fans. I know his fans loved him.

Rest in Peace Michael

He was ostracized by everyone in life, in death, he "walked on water"! :sad2:

His music was hugely influencial in my life!

I never believed he molested anyone!

He's now been judged by the only one who has a right to judge, let's pray that his soul rests in peace!

He is smiling down on all of us right now.

He never molested anyone.

Long Live The King of Pop.

May you find the peace you were searching for.

My feeling was that he was a very talented entertainer and a sad and tortured soul.

I hope he is resting in peace and that his family finds peace and comfort in the knowledge that he is at rest.

My thoughts are that he was a genius in music and dance. And like all geniuses he was eccentric. On top of that he was abused as a child and for whatever reasons was always fighting against the way he looked. Because his childhood was taken from him, he never grew up. He was forever a Peter Pan and that is the way he lived.

Many things contributed to MJ being the person that he was. But above all of it, he was still a genius in his art. The music business will never be the same because Michael Jackson existed and it will never be the same because he is gone.

Sadly, no matter how talented a person is, appearance still seems to dictate acceptance. Michael, for whatever reason, was uncomfortable with his appearance. In his attempt to find himself, he lost many people who could not accept someone who looked so different than the norm.

Inside, I think he was a beautiful person with a lost soul. He wanted nothing more than to give happiness to others and to be accepted. He achieved the first, but not the second. I believe he is in a place now where he will achieve both goals.

RIP Michael.

Talented, but tortured soul. (could not stand to see his father chomping away on gum during the service. *******!)

I feel for his true friends and family especially those poor children, but in reality I'm getting real sick of hearing about it.

The circus keeps going on and on. Enough already.

-One of the top entertainers to ever live
-Questionable public life
-sick of the media coverage-it's been 11 days now, let's move on.

It's sad when anyone dies prematurely.

I didn't particularly like his music or entertaining. I personally don't think he was extraordinarily talented compaired to many musicians of his generation. So I have a hard time relating to a lot of the gnashing of teeth about a loss of a genius.

I think he was deeply emotionally and psychologically disturbed. His childhood must have been stressful and bizarre.

I think your last paragraph speaks wonders :thumbsup2

I think he had a sad life... however some of the speeches today made me hopeful that he had more happiness than it seemed from the outside....

I think there was an amazing lack of tears for a memorial service...
seemed at times genuine and at times too staged....

Molestor... I don't know.... I like to think not....but when I listened to the interviews where he denies having more than 2 plastic surgeries and then denies ever hurting a child with the same sincerity ...I have to wonder....

but it is not up to me to decide the truth... ..

Talented ...very

I also wondered if these stars defended him so much during the trials and if we just did not listen ...or if they were quiet then....

I think that he was an extraordinarily talented person who really could have done so much more. I suspect that his upbringing and just who he was led to him always being a lost child in a way and if he did anything wrong, I doubt that it was wrong in his world. I'm not saying that that makes everything OK but I don't believe that we really knew much about Michael Jackson or how he ticked.

I believe that many loved him in spite of everything but I never got the sense that he was happy. It's sad because he had so much and I think that he was definitely the biggest entertainer of his time.

I just hope that he finds peace now.

Michael Jackson,
You are the most generous, kind, giving, and most misunderstood man in the world. I have never once doubted your innocence, and I have never wavered as a die hard fan. You music has touched my heart, it has made me laugh, cry, and smile, and it has made me dance. The world has lost an icon, while I have lost my savior. You are the most amazing person the world will ever see, and you will forever be the King Of Pop. I love you more than you can ever know, and I truly hope you are happy, and at peace. You deserve that at the very least. You will always be in my heart, as will your music. I hope Peter Pan, that you have found your Neverland, and that your children will be safe, and loved.
Rest in peace, and know you are extremely loved.

I'll bit, even though I don't think people will like it.

I think Michael Jackson was a deeply troubled individual. I think he had a horrible childhood and was abused and exploited by his family (father mostly.)

He was a rare musical talent that produced many great pop hits. He was a extraordinary entertainer.

I also think he was seriously mentally ill. From the surgeries, the drug abuse and more, I think he had a lot of demons.

I think he had inappropriate relationships with children, especially young boys. I will NOT go as far to call him a pedophile or child molester. I don't believe that he was either. But I do believe that he put himself in inappropriate situations.

I like most of his music. I prefer the late 70's early/80's dance stuff. I don't love it. It doesn't define any big points in my life. I don't feel any 'connection' to times in my past when I hear his songs. I own Thriller (in fact my album has been hanging in our den for years) and HIStory. Though it is not my preferred style of music, I recognize the talent that it took to create it.

Currently, I feel bad for his kids. They lost their dad. Today, I felt bad for people like Brooke Shields and Usher. I don't feel bad for *me* personally.
