What are your parade viewing strategies without FP+?

My trip starts in just four days, and I will be spending two days in the Magic Kingdom. I love watching the parades, but I have not been there since they started the Fastpass Plus options for parade viewing. I have always liked to watch the parades, in Town Square, and never had any trouble before just arriving about 20 minutes before a parade, and being able to see well enough to take pics with my camera.

After reading a few threads, I began wondering what other people do for parade viewing, when they don't have a Fastpass Plus.

I definitely want to see both the afternoon parade, and the Electrical Parade.
