As hard as it is for me to fathom, I think there are other places to go for vacation! ;) What are some of your favourite destinations? We just went to Cancun last month and had a great time. It was no Disney, but fun nonetheless.

Thanks for your ideas and suggestions!

I loved San Antonio, Texas. The Riverwalk is very nice, the Alamo is nice to see, great shopping. :)

I have been there twice as a young adult and can't wait to take my DH and DD. :)

I love Maine. I think it is beautiful, AND I have never had an unfriendly sales person/waiter/customer service type person ever there. They all want to talk to you. LOL that could just be a fluke though. I have only really gone 3 times

It's kind of funny but we don't take summer vacations because we live at the shore and feel that we should enjoy what we have here. The beach, the boardwalk, etc. MIL lives in Cape May so we make many Sunday visits to her, also.

We do love New Hampshire and kids want us to tarade our Vistana week for a week in NH to ski next year. We've stayed at several different ski resorts in NH and it is really beautiful there.

DH and I went to the US Virgin Islands a couple of times years ago but that was pre Disney. We'd like to visit Cancun again. It is where we honeymooned.

So it seems for almost every vacation it is DISNEY. Especially since we became DVC members.

After having been to WDW more times than I can count, we have decided to explore other avenues, and we have never had a bad experience. My affection for WDW has not been as exhuberant as it once was, though it really served my family well when the kids were littluns. It was a guaranteed good time, smiles all around good value. Now, we are looking for new experiences. Differnt cities for culture, out of the way places for R&R, DCL for permenant smile lines. Truthfully, I have never had a bad vacation, except for the last two visits to WDW, which really wasn't the companies fault, just some extenuating circumstaces surrounding both trips. I love seeing Our Country, I love visisting our neighbors to the North, South and across the Pond. I would really love to go Down Under some day and visit the South Pacific Islands as well. There really isn't a place I don't want to see. I think she who dies with the most experiences, wins! Make the most out of wherever you are at!

Keep the Faith!

National Parks! Last year we visited Bryce Canyon and Zion, this year it's the Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde. 10 years ago I bought one of the Passports to the NP and the stamps with the dates visited are great reminders of wonderful visits. We've been to NP in the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Alaska!

I totally agree with tlgoblue. We spent YEARS going nowhere but Disney, so we decided we owed it to our kids to see some of this wonderful country we live in. This summer we are going to explore Washington DC and Williamsburg, and next year, Hawaii. I really want to take them to California as well because there is so much to see and do there.

Some past family favorites are St. John, St. Thomas and pretty much every Caribbean Island except Belize and Jamaica. If I ever step foot on those 2 islands again it will be too soon.

LOngboat Key in Florida. We stay on a place right on the Gulf of Mexico and isn't touristy.

The upper peninsula of Michigan , so beautiful up there!!!

National Parks, I love the outdoors:D
My favorites are Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain NP, Yosemite. I love Colorado and Alaska.
Going to Ireland this summer, can't wait, I'm sure I will love it too.
