What are your NYE plans?

We are thinking of doing Epcot for NYE!
Paul we will be thinking of you stay safe. :thumbsup2
I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year. :)

I'll be out, as the DD. Won't be heading home until nearly dawn as our party goes until 6am.:goodvibes

ROFL Uh oh...you might...it's on FB. That's how Nancy and Ros sober-dialed me from Cali this week. ;)

My husband and I were holding our breath and crossing our fingers that we wouldn't be invited anywhere- is that bad? :lmao:

We just hate going out on NYE. We usually re-celebrate Christmas- we watch Christmas movies, drink cider, hope for rain, and fall asleep before midnight.

party at my sister's house. she lives a few blocks away, so it is a quick, easy and pretty safe drive. don't want to be out on the roads with the crazies! We are taking our son over there and just putting him to bed over there, no sitter. should be fun.

have a great new year all. stuck working tomorrow unfortuantely!

(looking for the silver lining) At least it won't be as cold tomorrow night as it was earlier in the week! That said, I hope you stay safe, and only have to contend with drunken revelers.

Echoing everyone above who's thanking you for looking out for us all...

i have to work at my restaurant 'til close. :headache: fortunately, that's fairly early, and i don't think the dining room will be busy anyway.

i dunno after that. i'm just gonna change & see what happens. i'm sure i'll be at a bar for a bit and then head to a friend's house. it's kind of nice not having any real plans. :thumbsup2

We'll be at a party at our friends' house that live about 2 hours away. They've done it for 5 years and we haven't missed one yet. This one will be different, the hostess and myself are both pregnant and one of the other girls just had a baby about 2 weeks ago. It'll probably be more low key than normal. Well at least for the girls .

Since I'm stuck in NJ for the holidays, nothing.

I will be at an non disclosed location near Times Square, dressed in a dark tactical uniform and freezing my butt off!

Stay safe and stay warm, Paul. Thank you for doing what you do :lovestruc

While I realize that the reality is far less romantic...this sounds like one of the Bourne movies.

Thanks for doing what you do.

We should probably say that more often than we do.

Couldn't agree more. :thumbsup2

Val & I will probably be inspecting our eyelids for holes at midnight.

Never heard it articulated this way - love it. Good description of what I will be doing.

Hopefully asleep by midnight .... hoping my 20 year old in New York doesn't get in trouble .... :sad2: Small town boy in the Big City ....

We're all going out to dinner, maybe to a Chinese restaurant to get our New Year's fortune cookie.

Then we're going to see Princess and the Frog.

And then back home to watch the ball drop.

We are also going to see Princess and the Frog tomorrow as well.

I'm going to try and stay awake for the ball drop, but I'll probably be sleeping before it happens.

Happy New Year everyone!!! Stay safe, especially if you are going out for the evening!

A few weeks ago, a friend and I thought about throwing a New Year's Eve party, but it went on the back burner until we talked about it again on Monday night. We invited a group of friends from our church, expecting it to just be the 2 of us and our spouses at such a late notice. We were surprised that our party count is up to 18! :rotfl:

Do they drop it again in your time zone, is it on time delay, or do you celebrate at 11pm your time?

Yes Paul THANK YOU for what you do that we know about and all the parts of your job you can't share..

Thanks to Alicia and Jen also, for giving him up to serve and protect us when we know you would rather spend NYE with him yourselves.

We're having a quiet night at home. My DD is babysitting until 1 AM so either DW or I have to stay up until she's home.
