What are your MVMCP dining plans?

This year is our very first time for MVMCP. We did MNSSHP in 2005 and ate at LTT around 5:30 or 6pm right before the party began. It was nice to be right in the middle of all the festivities as we finished dinner, but I felt it wasn't good use of our time. I would like to know what everyone here has done in the past or plans to do again during this year's MVMCP? We have hoppers for every day of our stay, but we may take the morning off and shop etc. and then go to MK for the party. Not sure if we should eat at MK, or at another resort and then go over there. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

I'm doing Chef Mickey's at 5:00. Instead of visiting parks during the day, I'm going to spend the morning in DTD and the afternoon visiting resorts to check out the Christmas decorations.

We will do the same as you did in the past. Probably not visit a park until MK for LTT reservation at 5pm and then go strait to the party festivities.
We did this for MNSSHP and it worked out great.

I'm at MK all that day, doing crystal palace right before the party :cool1:

Last year we had tea at the Grand Floridian, it was a lovely way to kick off the evening. This year I'm going up from work so will not have time. I'm staying at CSR and my friends are going to be at ASMu. I think I'm going to be dropped at CSR while they head over to check in at ASmu and then we're meeting at the park. I think I'll grab a bite at the Pepper Market that night and then head to the party.

We are laying low all day (dd (6yo) is doing a pirate cruise in the morning) and then having a very early "dinner" at Crystal Palace at 3:30pm (WDW considers it dinner.. go figure).

I would have preferred Chef Mickey's but thought a 5pm ADR would be too late.

I figure we can grab a snack or two ...or a counter service later in the evening if we get hungry.

Last year we did LTT during the party and will not do that again. Taking party time to eat wasn't a wise move. We had always eaten before the parties in the past but DD thought LTT sounded like fun and the only ressie I could get by the time I called was during the party. We are doing Crystal Palace before P&P Party on Tuesday - we enjoy the buffett there. Before MVMCP in November we have an early ressie at 1900 Park Fair. Then we can just take the monorail or boat to the MK after we eat. We've done Chef Mickey's and Kona before and enjoyed them as well. If they do a P&P in February we are going to try for an early dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse to eat there one last time before they close for good.

Also new.

We're doing an early dinner at LTT. Should finish up right around the party start time and can head over. DS is 2 1/2 and I thought it would be a good way to ease him into all the excitement. He'll get some "face time" with the characters and something non-sugary in his tummy and then we'll party hard. I figure we're taking a gamble with the party anyway... not sure how late DS will make it before exhaustion or melt down time, but its my first time ever doing Disney with any Christmas events, and DS loves Christmas lights and decorations. I couldn't pass up the chance to give it a try. Plus, DS is free since he's under 3, and I opened up my Disney Visa when I booked, so I got $40 cash back. I figure its like a 3 for 1 deal for the tix, so even if we only make it for a few hours, it'll be worth it... hopefully.

We are also eating an early "dinner" at the Crystal Palace, 3:45, Yikes! But we figured we would then have plenty of time for a few attractions before the party. We have gone every year since 2003 and have eaten at CP every year but last year, when we tried LTT. We enjoyed Liberty Tree but my picky DD6 would eat nothing but the rolls. So its back to CP, where she always finds plenty to eat.

I am starting to get very excited, school is starting, so Christmas is just around the corner!

We've never been to CP or LTT!

This is our first visit were we will stay on property. MIL lives 20min away so we've always stayed w/ her on our previous trips. So our park time was maxed out and all our character meals were at resorts.

I checked over the LTT menu and opted for LTT precisely for the same reason... a picky 6yo. She would end up eating only the rolls as well!

We decided to do Chef Mickey's at 11:10am for brunch and then hit a counter service for dinner. I think being our first time we wouldn't want to sit still for a big dinner. :santa:

To utilize our time we decided to have a nice lunch (we are doing LeCellier because we will be by EPCOT) then do a quick CS dinner!

Our party day starts in the morning...we will tour the deluxe resorts to see decorations, having lunch on the Boardwalk somewhere, then ending with the monorail resorts.

We'll go to the GF last and then we have ADRS at Grand Floridian Cafe at 5, then hop the monorail to MK for th party. A little later than I wanted to get there, but that's the earliest they had.

Looking forward to that whole day!

As of right now, we have an ADR at Chef Mickey's at 5:40, which I think is too late. I've been desperately trying to switch Chef Mickey to another day and trying to get Tony's for an early dinner the night of MVMCP.

Doing Tony's Town Sq. before the party starts. We'll get to the park as early as we can enter with party ticket(last year was 4PM), have dinner and enjoy the party. Taking it easy the rest of the day after breakfast @ Chef Mickey, look at the resort decorations, take a nap(ha ha) and be ready for the party. Just hope it doesn't rain like last year:santa:

we are dining at Ohana's- my ressie is at 5:20pm which will give us plenty of time to eat, catch the monorail back to MK for the party on 12/2. I tried to get Chef Mickey's, couldnt get it for a table of 2. Why are ressies so hard to get for only 2 people in your party I don't know but I certainly tried. We love Chef Mickey's...

I also thought about 1900 Park Faire. I thought about not doing the parks that morning and going to BBB with DD. She might like the pampering and then meeting Cinderella at dinner. We did CRT once and that was enough to get it out of our systems.....:headache:
