what are your loves/hates about where your home is located?

I love that we are really close to my younger's son school and that our neighborhood is very peaceful and has some great hills for sledding the few times it snows. It was a great place to be stuck during COVID. I just wish it had a neighborhood playground and dog park.

I'm between two major cities and cultural centres. I'm near the beach, skiing, boating, hiking, a great national park, and can choose from one of 6 airports to travel from. I'm super liberal and so is my region.

It's really expensive. But worth it.

Love that our house has gone way up in value.

Hate that it's gotten do crowded. Way too much traffic

Love that we are the last house on a dead end street so no thru traffic.
Would like to have a fenced yard for the doggies tho.

Love that it’s a well kept up established historical neighborhood on a one way street in the middle of town. Hate that it’s in North Dakota

I love that it's in the middle of nowhere. I hate that it's in the middle of nowhere.

Love that I can sit on my patio and see the mountains. Hate that subdivisions are popping up all around us and the infrastructure can't handle it.

:confused3 I neither love or hate anything about it right now. We just vey recently moved and are still learning and adapting to the new location. We will simply never like it as much as our former neighbourhood, but we expected as much and the new situation does have other advantages.

Love - near the beach, lots of restaurants to chose from, and some of the best medical facilities in the country.
Hates - extraordinarily high property taxes, close to high-crime areas (which is now bleeding into smaller neighborhoods), crazy drivers.

love-

that the true owners of the land let choose to continue to share it with me-moose, elk, deer, eagles, bunnies...all in visit with me off my deck (though the chipmunks occasionaly venture onto the deck and peek in the sliding glass doors :lovestruc ).

hate-

folks that buy properties around us b/c they claim to love the wildlife but then landscape their properties to resemble tract homes and then complain that they were misled about the amount of wildlife. maybe if you left some of the brush/natural enviorment that attracted them in the first place? or maybe if you did'nt aquire half a dozen dogs that bark constantly when you leave them in the fenced yard you've created?

I love that it's in the middle of nowhere. I hate that it's in the middle of nowhere.

it's def. a love hate thing. it would be nice to have the option of food delivery (or grocery for that matter), it would be nice not to have to pay a premium for any service provider, it would be fantastic to have (even within a handful of miles) some means of public paratransit for those in need but it's nice being away from every thing that comes with those.

Love - close to work, on a bend inside the neighborhood so I have a big backyard, close to downtown but not so close that parking is a nightmare

Hate - Not walking distance to much of anything. I could go to Walgreens, a gas station, and 2 restaurants, but everything else requires a short drive

Love living a 5 minute drive from work, love seeing wildlife often, love that it's 5 degrees cooler in the Summer because we're up on top of a hill.

Hate that it's also 5 degrees cooler in the Winter, which means more ice and snow (that darned double edge sword.), hate that we have a black bear problem (another double edge sword, LOL!) and can no longer put out birdfeeders until Winter, hate that they've built mega mansions right up the street from us, resulting in a lot more traffic and light polution.

Love-living on a resaca(also known as creek) so we see lots of birds and wildlife, love the relatively low cost of living (one of the lowest in the country), love that it hardly ever gets cold enough to snow (once in the 30 years, we got a whole 2 inches). Love that good education is not expensive. Hate the Climate-the average temperature for 5 months is above 90 degrees, the humidity makes it worse, and we're in hurricane territory in the Gulf of Mexico.
