...Sports teams names?

We just had our first practice(which turned out to be a meeting) for DS's U7 soccer team. I had looked on the website and there was a list of team names. We were hoping for the Bruins(we are big fans), or something cool like Pythons, Raptors, Vultures, etc... So what team does DS end up being on??? The Kangaroos! Boy do they sound tough or what?

So anyone else have any good names?

This season they are Blue Lighting, Last season they were the Stinky Lizards (8 year old girls!!) I don't remember the first seasons name at all...

LOL! Those are great! I love the Stinky Lizards for girls. Our girls(my nieces group, U10) are names like the Rosebuds, Peaches, Robins, sweet stuff like that.

My DD's (U-19) indoor soccer team (mostly 17 yr old juniors, a few younger,a few older) has for the last 2 years called themselves...
ahem....
"Hot Hooligans"

Last year for 1 game they had to wear sleeveless yellow "pinnies" over their shirts because the other team had similar red and white shirts. And the way the team name is printed on their shirts, all you could see was "HOT HO" on each shirt! There were varying reactions since the derogatory term for a slutty teen girl is "HO"


The other team names are pretty boring in her league hehehehe

When DD played soccer her team was usually called the Roadrunners. One year they decided to call themselves the Mad Cows and another year Wild Things. Go figure!

My DS's high school baseball team is the Ashbrook Green Waves. Their main rival is the Hunter Huss Huskies.

Pirates, Sharks, Twisters & Hurricanes are a few names that my DD had on her soccer teams.

I guess the team's I was on were not quite as bad as some of the others. I was on a team neamed the Crushers (we wore bright orange jerseys that reminded us of Orange Crush soda) and another year I was on a team called the Strikers.

DS's U10 team is the Hooligans too! Remember the SNL skit: Scottish Soccer Hooligans!!!!! (Of course that's a joke between the parents.) And even though they may not be the best team -- they sure are the besting looking .
