What are your feeling on the temperature check being removed ?

It didn't make me feel more secure at all. I have known a number of people that have had Covid and none have mentioned having a fever as a symptom. I'm sure that some people may have a fever with Covid but a fever can indicate a number of things that have nothing to do with Covid.

Mixed feelings.

Just concerned one thing leads to another and then the massive crowds come. I know it’s coming but sure enjoyed my 3 trips during Covid. Enjoyable low count safe feeling trips. Will miss that atmosphere even tho all not open.

So glad about this!!! I was worried that we might show a temp over 100 if we were hot and sweaty coming up to the park in the summer sun.

Also, all 5 in my family had Covid last month and not one of us had a temperature above 100. IMO, this was never really about finding people with Covid. It was about making people feel safer. I hope to see more things like this disappear soon.

YES! When my husband had COVID (the rest of us avoided it), his temp never went above 100.4. The whole time he was sick. I always thought it was so silly that places thought this would help eliminate carriers. I’m just hoping this is the first of many steps back to some normalcy.

I'm good with it. I had covid and my temp only got over the 100.4 one time and that was to 100.7 and I was sick like taking a shower meant I had to take a nap sick. I've also know several other people who have had it and didn't have any fever.

The temp checks didn't bother us or make us feel any safer, so this change doesn't make much difference to us. I'd be curious to know how many people this blocked over the last year, and how many of those actually had Covid.

However, the change from 6 feet to 3 feet for distancing does seem like a big deal. Having the 6 feet of spacing really did help make us feel safer, and is one reason we made two trips during Covid. 3 feet really puts everyone on top of each other again, which seems like it makes transmission much easier. Hopefully, vaccinations will help things out on this front.

I suspect the reduced spacing means they will let in quite a bit more people. That sounds like even longer lines, unless they also start packing the rides full again...

I think it's an odd choice from a PR standpoint. They have entry tents setup with a few workers at each and people barely slow down while entering. So from a crowd standpoint it's pretty moot. As far as "freaking people" out due to being in place, attendance has shown it's not having an effect. So I am pretty surprised that Disney isn't just keeping it in place to show that they are still taking precautions for their guests. Regardless of it's effectiveness.

We were a family of 6 last time we went and we took up most of the space between lines on the floor. So for us it did not make much difference..
There was a couple of times people would snap at my kids " can you step back" even though I know the reason I would get so mad at how they talked to me or my kids.

I'm more than fine with it! But, I don't go to theme parks yet because I won't do the masking. That being said, we have heard from a reliable source that they have only flagged about 6 people in this whole year+ that had a temperature that prevented them from being allowed entry. The man hours and resources spent on that versus any benefit were just non-existent.

Just like most things it didn’t need to be perfect. Another psychological thing temp checks did was have sick people think twice about if it’s worth the possible hassle trying to get thru. A deterrent, not a barricade.

The problem with 3 feet is most people never followed the 6 feet guidelines. Now they won't follow the 3 feet guidelines. Already seen plenty of pics from Universal today where people are almost on top of each other. The few instances I saw of people actually following the 3 feet guideline looked fine to me, but it was almost no one.

My trip to WDW is in one month and I pray they don't go to 3 feet. My HHN trip isn't until October and hopefully things will be better in the world and at Universal then.
