What are your favorite things about snow?

The taste of a big mouthful of snow is another one. Whenever we do a snowman I always take a big bite out of the fresh fluffy snow. I know its just water but it tastes so very different :upsidedow... tastes like a Snow Day! Can't get that from a photo, no matter how beautiful. I really can't imagine watching all the snow on TV and knowing I can't go out, flop in it & make a snow angel with my kids if I want... which reminds me of how cool it is to lie down on my back and watch the snow fall straight onto my face.

I like looking at pictures of the snow, and I enjoyed looking out my window after a snowfall and seeing a lone track in it. However, I hated having to get out in it and I hated being stuck inside. I've been in Florida now for almost 20 years, and I honestly do not miss the snow. I miss fall and the changing leaves, but don't miss winter.

I let our dog out Thursday night, the ground was already covered and it was falling fast. Like other people have said, it was so quiet and so peaceful, and it was nice.

My favorite part is when it melts, at least from the roads.

I'm watching it snow outside my window and it's just beautiful. I love the snow. I love the cold weather.

I went sledding the other day with some friends and I can't remember the last time I had so much fun.

Niagara Falls in the winter is especially gorgeous.

That it melts. Maybe not this weekend but soon I hope. :)

I love the quiet that comes with a significant snowfall. Also when it's the sticky snow that makes the trees look so pretty - love that! I love that the kids get so excited to play in it, and that they're finally old enough to get their snow pants and snow boots on (and off!) by themselves, lol!

But, now that we have a puppy, I'm not loving the snow, or the cold, at all. I was quite content to let the kids play outside while I watched from the window with a cup of hot chocolate for me and some in the pot ready for them. Now, though, I have to trudge out there to take the pup for walks. I'm asking for a fence for my birthday!!!

Well since my dh does snow removal I guess my answer would have to be that we make money!! Its like pennies falling from the sky!!!

The cozy feeling of being in a warm house with a fire in the fireplace watching the snow fall and knowing I can stay inside.

I love this, too. I love summer because I'd rather be outdoors without having to be bundled up. But I love seeing dogs in the dog park running around like crazy, enjoying the snow so much! And the kids playing in it like they don't even feel the cold. I also love the way the trees look with the branches all white.

What is my favorite thing about snow? When it melts from the sunshine. I hate snow. Would never miss it if it never returned. Do not consider it pretty at all.

Ummm, I agree, that silence that only comes when it snows is marvelous. I especially like it when it snows in the evening, after everyone is home from work and nestled into their homes. When it's quiet like that I like to step out into the snow and hear the soft sound of my footsteps.

Add the smell of a neighbors fire in the fireplace and it's perfection:love:

Mystery Machine, I have never seen frozen waterfalls or many icicles, we have some every so often but nothing WOW worthy. If you have pictures I'd love to see them. That goes for everyone, I really do enjoy stuff like this, it always makes me smile.

Well, I will have to get my camera out and do some pic taking. I don't have pics right now but I will try and get you some of the stuff around me.:thumbsup2

Favorite things: we only get it once a year, maybe twice tops. ;)
It is pretty though when it's falling and just covers the ground!

The quiet and how pretty it looks when it first falls.
Living in CT as I do, I feel as if I have had enough of it though.

I love the snow. It is like the whole world changes with the snowy white blanket. I love the way the clean snow glitters in the sunlight.

I'm not a fan....

but the part that I find enjoyment in with snow--is a real snowfall, with some accumulation. Not the flurry half inch. It is so peaceful and pretty.

But then it melts within 24-48 hours, that we don't get to enjoy the pretty snowy landscape for long.

I also like that I can use the couple of inches as an excuse to not run out in the morning--2 hour delays and school closings mean that the kids and I can focus uninterrupted on our homeschool work.
