What are your favorite Charc. Meals

My family loves the character breakfast at Ohana. We love that it's served family style and you can have as much as you want. We love the juice they serve, the fruit and the pineapple bread. We love the atmosphere and my boys love the conga line around the restaurant once an hour. We love seeing Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. We love visiting the Poly hotel to attend this meal and how we can just hop on the monorail to MK afterwards.

:wizard:

Our favorite is the Crystal Palace for breakfast. We love the puffed french toast and the potato casserole and made-to-order omelets (it doesn't hurt that Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet are there). Chef Mickey's would be our second choice, but that may change as we are doing Cape May Cafe this year for breakfast for the first time. We haven't done O'hanas since it changed from a buffett and they added Stitch--sorry Stitch lovers, we just can't get into him.

My favorite was always Garden Grill....all you can eat but not a buffet, small enough that the characters actually made it to your table numerous times, rotating restaurant, etc.

But, not really impressed with the food last time so if didn't make the list for this year.

We also like the Pooh breakfast at Crystal Palace. Nice to get into the park early and we have liked the food there.

Ohana breakfast, great food and you can get the pressed pot coffee from Kona and amazing character interaction.

Cape May, again great food and fun character interaction

I love Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary and the Crystal Palace with pooh characters inside magic kingdom. They both have good buffets!!

We love Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. Whenever we go those are the 1st ADRs we try to get :goodvibes They are so much fun and the food is GREAT! Our favorite princess meal is dinner in 1900 Park Faire, we are Cinderella fans mostly and the food is fantasic there- the best of the buffets! :goodvibes

We are trying the Playhouse Disney Play & Dine this December- we have heard great things, so we now have high expectations too. :lmao:

Our favorites are the 1900 Park Fare meals, for a variety of reasons:

The Food - better here than at most buffets. At breakfast they have all the standard items you'll find elsewhere, but with just a little better variety (syrup, for instance - maple, berry and citrus, and in addition to the standard Mickey Head Waffles and pancakes you can have french toast). In addition, they have the strawberry soup - perhaps the best food item served at WDW. They make omlettes (and eggs) to order. They have a carving station with ham. They have a wonderful lobster eggs benedict. At dinner, they have a great variety of food. From Italian, to French, to Chinese, to fresh carved prime rib and turkey. Yes, the strawberry soup is at dinner, too. A wider variety of salads and soupls than you'll find at other buffets, including a wonderful cold seafood salad. We have eaten at most of the buffets - Cape May, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey - and the quality and variety at Park Fare is tops.

The Chracters - at both meals thay have a variety of face characters. That is, real people - not just our furry character friends. At breakfast they do have Pooh and Tigger, but the highlight are Alice, the Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins. It is fun to actually converse with the characters and they are very interesting. The Mad Hatter is hilarious. At dinner they have Cindy, Prince Charming, Lady Tremain (sp?), Anastasia, and Drizella. The attraction of Cinderlla is obvious for the princess fans, but it is Anastasia and Drizella that steal the show with their antics and interaction.

The Location - Everyone should welcome the opportunity to walk around the GF and sit in the lobby. A beautiful resort. It's also a convenient place in relation to the MK, with some potential fringe benefits. If you want to eat here early before the MK opens the park is one monorail stop away when you are done. Or you can make a late breakfast reservation, hit the MK for an hour and a half while the lines are short (longer on an EMH morning) and then take a short boat ride over to the GF. If you are having dinner there and you don't want to head into the MK, you can see Wishes from the dock or the deck attached to Narcoossee's. Time you meal right and you can also be done in time to see the Electrical Water Pageant.

My current favorite is breakfast at Crystal Palace. I've eaten there several times, and every time the food, service, and character interaction has been great.

I like Crystal Palace breakfast and I really like the AK Tusker house breakfast because of how much fun they have with the kids - the parade is fun and the energy level is great. I also love Goofy, Donald and Daisy. O'hanas is good too for the same reasons.
