What would you like to do at next years DISCON that we didn't have this year...or you were unable to do this year.

My List....

Who wants to be a Millionaire
Breakfast at Boma's
IOA pre-DISCON Thrill Rides Tour
A day at Blizzard Beach with everyone(weather permitting)
Disney Quest - More fun than I thought it would be...the create your own coaster if fabulous.
A returning DISCON Goers Cocktail Party
Spend more time with some of you I didn't get to spend time with last time.

Ooooooh, Pat. I like your ideas. I would love to do a Blizzard Beach thingy. Could you see all of us floating on the lazy river?!?! I love that!! I want to do more meal get togethers. WDW puts on some great things with their meals. We missed the girls going to Prime Time and they had a ball. I want in on that next year! (We did miss you guys at Boma's) I've never done DisneyQuest, so that might be fun. I like the WWTBAM group thing, too. Barry had suggested doing a Men in Black shoot off. (I love that ride) I like the idea of the cocktail party, too. Although, I don't know that new people would appreciate that. ;)
I suggested a pool party, too. That's kind of the same idea as Blizzard Beach. I really want to go out dancing at least one night. I love to dance and wanted to fit that in this year, but didn't.

I like the MIB shoot-off. I will have to bring MIB999999 from the Universal boards. He can score 700,000 without breaking a sweat. :)

Anyway, my dream meet would be having a dozen Playboy Playmates at my Swan room. :)

I would like an IOA tour, if I can get a week off. I would like to see a Sea World meet so we can ride Kraken all day.

Bomas for breakfast is wonderful. Did that last August before my surgery. Love that resort.

The miningolf thing if they do it again should be after the parks close. It is open late. Nobody came to the last one because who wanted to leave the parks. It was fun though. Floyd and I played several times.

Blizzard beach if the weather is as wonderful as this trip. I love the wave pool. I should have lost another 120 or more pounds by than (lost 80 before the trip).

Would love to do Tonga toast meet. Really want to try it. Sounds so good.

Want to do MVMCP next year too. Can you believe we never made it to the Magic Kingdom? spent most of our time at Epcot and MGM.

I like everyone's ideas.

I don't know about a dream DIS mini-meet, but here are a few that I can think of off the top of my head.

1. Combine an Epcot Christmas Processional package so that we could eat together, watch te CP together and then watch Illuminations. I prefer to watch CP at nighttime and not before 7:00 P.M. because it just seems neater at night. I really enjoyed dineycub's mini-meet with the Japan dinner with Barb, Lowellsdad and I wish that Sandra B could have sat with us, but the security was high at this media event.

2. Having a dinner the night before the DIS meet at WDW Wilderness Lodge's Whispering Cafe. But maybe meeting at the Grand Floridian's Lobby to see the Huge Christmas tree, gingerbread house, then by monorail to outside the Magic Kingdom before it closes at 7:00 P.M. to watch the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks. Then a boat launch to WL to eat and see the christmas tree and maybe the lake electrical parade or taxi to Boardwalk, Dolphin or Beach & yacht club to to see there christmas trees and travel by boat launch to each and maybe end up at Jellyrolls or the Swan's Karaoke Club or just walk the Boardwalk. O.K., Maybe that's to much for one night.

3. More mini-meets riding the park rides or watching the parades or fireworks or osborne lights spectacular or Fantasmic or Illuminations.

4. Try not to plan a 2:00 A.M. Jellyroll, Adventure Club, Karaoke Club three or four hours before we have to get up for a 7:00 A.M breakfast. O.K., I'll just train better next year. Just because I'm 51 years old doesn't mean that I can't pretend like I'm 21 again, lol. After all, I do feel like a kid again at WDW.

4. Definitely, Blizzard Beach. I want someone taking a picture of me getting stuck going down that tallest water slide. A group would be fun.

5. A group would be fun at Disney Quest, too. They have a free on-line computers at their tables in one of their cafes.

6. A group to watch Spectromagic, Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks and the Good night Goodbye.

7. Plan way, way in advance PS before MVMCP like everyone did before.

8. I almost forgot, the Illuminations party at the french island was the best ever.

I had a wonderful time being with and meeting all you guys. I wish that I could have spent more time with some of you, so next DIS-CON, I'm going to come a few days before and a few days afterward.

What a wonderful job everyone did planning the official and unofficial events. It was excellent.

Ray, since you like my idea of the dozen Playboy Playmates, I am giving you VIP access to the party. :)

Ray said at the beginning of his post, "I like everyone's ideas." That includes my Swan meet. :)

It would be wonderful to have more of a social scene going during the registration time - a lounge or poolside to sit and congregate, talk, meet people, eat together. The mezzanine was too small, the Yacht Club lobby wasn't set up for a big group. I know the organizers were busy getting everyone signed up, they don't need to have to be running something like this... and I'll bet this kind of minimeet would be very welcoming and fun.

I would love to see a dance party -- something for everyone, a real mixer. Not that I know how to dance - just an excuse for people to get together and meet. Not too loud, not too boisterous, not smoky - a real social.

Love the idea of Univsersal Studios and IOA meets -- they don't have to be thrill-rides only. :)

You know what would be really great? An evening/night kids party... supervised... so that DIS Con parents could have a night out without having to switch off or miss out, or take the kids along. Maybe 2 or 3 of those. ;) I understand there is actually a service that does those kind of events, so parents don't have to hire babysitters or put their kids into the kids clubs -- they can be with their DIS buddies instead.

You know I am reading this.. There are some great ideas here.. I for one am for spending as much time as possible with everyone... As it got to the end.. I know we did not want to see it end.. it was very sad.. So keep thinking, we have some time to pull lots of ideas together, run them by Pete as to what can and cannot be done.. So keep em coming.. I am also going to send Linda this link so she will check it out.. Hugs everyone..

I like the dancing idea that Barb had somewhere on this board. Jellyrolls has to be added for a few nights, and chance of having something like that for an opening reception? Especially if we have many more attendees?

Pleasure Island meets and more dinner type meets where we can all get to know eachother better. I loved our Keys of the Kingdom tour....Could we have tours of the other parks, or the animation ones?

Just thinking about next year makes things so much better!

You all have wonderful ideas! :) I wonder if we could reserve Jellyrolls for a private party during a weeknight...AND make it non-smoking?

Maybe we could get Atlantic Dance to have one night of music that ISN'T Latin!

Great ideas Nancy. :) The non-smoking idea would allow more DIS'ers to attend. :) I do not mean to offend the smokers.

We HAVE to do at least one Krispy Kreme breakfast at Tubbi's!!!!!!! That was so yummy!! And, it ws nice to have a quiet breakfast where we could just talk and get to know each other. I could do that every morning, easily!! :)

Barb, we did time a lot of our side meets really well, didn't we? I think the thing that was nice about that day for the Krispy Kreme run is that....well, we could actually do it because it was BEFORE DIS-Con 'officially' started. :)

Also, it gave some of us a chance to talk and get to know eachother. :)

Come to think of it, I think it was the Krispy Kremes that bonded our little group so well!!! :earseek: :) :D :p
this is NOT to say that we didn't play well with others who were unable to attend the K.K. run. :D

I just love your little caveats, Tia.....

I'll second (or third) the motion for a group Candlelight Processional.

I'd like a Candlelight Processional meet too. I'd trade it for a Fantasmic or Illuminations desert party.

I have the feel, though, that Marsha and Linda tried to get it, but it was too expensive or sold out.

A Candlelight Processional dinner package would combine the Epcot dinner WITH a dessert (but NOT the beverage) and the special seating for the CP program. Since not everyone may be interested in hearing a celebrity narrator read the Christmas story from the Bible, maybe people could choose between the CP dinner package and the Fantasmic dessert party/Epcot dinner - since only half of our group could be accommodated at Fantasmic at one time.
