What are your biggest frustrations?

There is no difference between A and B for some people. Me being one as I don't typically drink but would some day like to have a drink in Mexico or France.

I'll just break my arm walking single file while holding my three year olds hand and my 5 year olds hand will that make you happy? Or perhaps I can not hold their hand and you can complain about me not watching my children. OR I can make them ride in a stroller even though they are perfectly capable of walking and then you can complain about too many strollers in the park.

Yep, people will blame you anyway, so just visit Mexico or France(you will most definitely find me there as well) and relax. ;)

Oh and THANK you for allowing me to hold my child's hand! What a relief to have your blessing.

Well, you did ask what I wanted:
will that make you happy? ...Really? Honestly? What would/will/can make people happy.

So, I told you. :cool1:

Did you read the definition of the word "martyr" yet?

My biggest frustration is the kid's meals...altho' they've gotten very slightly better since our first trip in 2007, I wish they would offer more choices - not all children eat only pizza, chicken nuggets and hamburgers.

I completely agree with this. It's not a frustration of mine, but it would be nice to see something different on the counter service meals.

I love threads about annoyances! We all love Disney World (why else would we be read a message forum based on WDW?) :)

But, as someone mentioned before, with alot of money on the line, many different cultures and traditions around, screaming crazy, happy children, your bound for some annoying times. Does it make me not want to return? Of course not! But darn-it... some people just drive me crazy! :cool2:

Here's my top 10 annoyance list (in good natured fun, of course).

10) People who get annoyed by people who get annoyed
9) People that use wheelchairs that don't need them (come on - have you seen the movie Wall-E?)
8) People that refuse to watch my children when I'm getting my drunk on at the Mexico pavillion
7) When the Pinnochio Village Haus QS dining CM won't sprinkle sugar on my son's pizza and fries. Seriously. You mean, I have to do it myself???
6) Stinky people
5) People that say The Carosel of Progress is boring. Uh, maybe you're boring. Did you ever think of that?
4) Parents that don't mind their children. Who is this vacation for anyway?
3) Rude characters. My daughter asked Minnie Mouse 3 simple questions about her dress and she didn't answer ANY of them.
2) When someone ties fishing line to a $20, puts it on the ground and pulls it away as I try to pick it up. If the jokester wasn't hiding behind the group of 35 people standing in the middle of the aisle, the joke would have been on him!
1) People that expect me to offer my coveted bus seat to the elderly/pregnant women/tired children/fat people. Hey, I'm old, tired, fat and sort of pregnant too! Go find your own chair!

Cheers! Can't wait to see everyone there in Feb 2011! :cool1:

now THAT was awesome!

I don't understand why WDW doesn't have dedicated buses running at the end of the night just for the scooters & wheelchairs. That would go a long ways to relieving some of the frustrations people have with the buses. We were there last week and took the bus ONCE (we had a rental but thought we'd give a try just once). We ended up waiting forever because each time a bus would pull up 4 or 5 scooters would show up and take up most of the bus. What should have taken maybe 20 minutes ended up taking more than an hour just to get on the bus. I don't question if someone needs a scooter or wheelchair but the process that WDW uses to load and unload them is ridiculous. When we did get on there were 4 scooters on the bus and each at a different stop in CBR. Each time the driver had to stop, take two or three shots at "kneeling" the bus just right, untether the scooter and then the rider would attempt to navigate their way off the bus (which took a while too because most of the scooter riders weren't too skilled at navigating in such a tight spot). It took FOREVER! I'll never take the bus again (National Emerald Aisle all the way). Once again, I don't fault anyone for using a scooter/wheelchair but WDW needs to make some serious changes if this is the way the buses normally operate. :sad2:

hope you put your flame-retardant suit on!

You need to realize how much longer everything takes if in a wheelchair or scooter!! then you might be a bit more understanding!
Disney does a great job!

ps.... you might consider deleting your post!!! it's offensive.

I knew this thread would lead to trouble.

You know what? Most of the families I know can't afford to go to WDW. I'm going to assume an attitude of gratitude during my upcoming trip and overlook a few things, like people who cut in line and badly driven scooters. Why? Because I am so fortunate to be getting to go to Disney World.

Thank God for Disney. It really does make the world a better place. I've had a rough year and I am SO grateful to be getting to go. :woohoo:

Duffy - you are clearly looking for a fight. Sorry to say you haven't found it with me. Keep looking.

Brazillians:mad:.. they come in packs of 30, wear the same t-shirt and act like they own the place.QUOTE]

and groups of parentless cheerleaders pushing their way through lines, onto buses and ahead of you at foodcourts. Just because one person in your 30 person group is in line, does not mean everyone can cut in line to check out/ride the ride/get on the bus. I can see a family of 4 or something, but not a group of people.

FAMILIES screaming at each other and they're not mad that is just their volume. Folks stopping four or most abreast right in the middle of the road. oh folks talking loud on their cell phones. WE DON'T CARE BOUT YOUR CONVERSATION PEOPLE. REALLY WE DON'T:mad::mad::mad:

I didn't read through the whole thread so I apologize if this has already been mentioned. You can use adult meals for everyone at all quick service locations. Disney only differentiatea kids from adult meals at table service locations. HTH's for next time. My DD is a good eater as well and was not a big fan of the child selections. A castmember told us she could have an adult meal at the QS locations.

How is it that no one has responded to this nugget of information? This has been my experience too, that QS areas don't care if you order an adult meal for your child, and that only TS areas keep track of kid vs adult meals. Anyone else?

Perhaps you need to go back and re-read what I wrote. It wasn't meant to be offensive at all so I won't be deleting it. :confused3 As for Disney doing a great job I agree...except in this case. It shouldn't take 1.5 hours to get from Epcot to a room at CBR on a WDW bus for ANYONE. I could have walked to CBR faster. Maybe it was just the bus driver - as I said I don't take the bus. I don't fault anyone for needing a scooter/wheelchair as I said in my original post. I do fault Disney for it taking 1.5 hours to get back to the resort.

But, for the love of God, PLEASE stop referring to Cinderella's castle as "Cindy's castle". It hurts my ears. So, I guess that's my biggest frustration.

For your amusement and hopefully not offending anyone (I can't believe that no one else caught this)...

People that refer to Cinderella Castle as Cinderella's castle. It is Cinderella Castle, without the possessive form of Cinderella. Apparently, she doesn't actually own it and the possessive form of Cinderella should not be used. I think that you might be offending the actual owner (I don't know who that would be...Prince Charming? The King?).

1.5 hour, oh boy, I know the feeling. That is why this trip we hardly stayed for fireworks, I just cannot take those huge lines. We watched Wishes next to exit and literally ran with the last one. For some stupid reason I love to go to the pool after parks but with long waiting it is almost impossible. By the time you are finally at the resort, all you want is to sleep. I think long lines have not much to do with loading wheelchairs but with the fact that there are just too many people and not enough buses. I can totally accept every 20 min during the day, but at night when I stand in a long line and will take probably 4th bus, I would appreciate every 5 min. Yes, I am a dreamer but there is nothing wrong with that.

the flash pictures and rampant ECV use.....why cant they mandate that you need a certification/license etc to operate them safely would deter alot of people from just getting them, and the people who truly need them would know how to not run everyone over
I'm sure there ARE licensed photographers, although unless they're using a dolly and large video equipment, I don't think there's any danger of anyone operating a camera to endanger.

I'm a very easy going person. If someone stops in the walkway, I assume they saw something cool. I can wait, or if I can't, I'll say excuse me and cut through. I don't care if people who rent scooters need them or not, I don't care how old your kid in the stroller is, I don't care if you refill your mug, or pool hop, I don't care how you dress, if you drink, if you smoke or whatever - Honestly, life is too short to worry about what other people do or don't do while on vacation. But, for the love of God, PLEASE stop referring to Cinderella's castle as "Cindy's castle". It hurts my ears. So, I guess that's my biggest frustration.

The highlighted does bug me IF they are smoking in the non-smoking area. While at EPCOT on Thursday I did say something to a guest who was smoking as walking to the Land building. I told her it was not a smoking park and she needed to be in the smoking area. The guy who was apparently part of her family said it was her first time there so be nice to her. I'm sorry but there is no reason to be smoking around kids that are not yours in a smoke free park. Having a child with asthma causes me to be more vigilant in trying to protect her breathing area. We avoid the smoking areas at the parks even if it means walking around a longer route.

Perfectly logical. But when it's mom, dad and 2 kids and all FOUR are holding hands or when it's 3 or 4 teenage BFFs, that's when it goes from being logical and necessary to inconsiderate.

Yeah.... seeing people so happy is a major buzz kill for me too. :rolleyes1

BTB ~ I don't feel like a martyr....??? When did we start talking religion or politics??

ETA: Oh and THANK you for allowing me to hold my child's hand! What a relief to have your blessing.[/QUOTA

Another group of nasty posts from you. I would insert incredibly sarcastic comment here, but I don't want to get a strike! ;)

I love all the posters here on the last few pages who have been involved in so many drama threads, I've lost count.

Like the PP said who made the comment about people in a large group holding hands--DUH. She's not talking about you holding your child's hand.

One more time--DUH.
