What are your absolute "must eats" in the parks?

I misspoke - it's shredded beef. But it seems like larger chunks of beef than your usual shredded beef. Or am I having disnemnesia where I remember things at Disney being better than they actually are? Maybe someone can correct me. Definately not taco meat though.

And it's Hungry Bear, not Hungry Bee!

LOL....I just posted asking where the Hungry Bee was because I had never heard of it. I kinda thought it was Hungry "Bear" ;) I will have to stop by next time and try this....I usually avoid Hungry Bear because we really don't like the burgers at Disney.

Thanks, everyone! This sure is a long list of food I'll have to pack in. LOL I have three months to lose about 20 pounds to make room for it all.

I don't even sweat it. Get it? OOHH...that's bad!

But seriously...think of ALL that walking you're doing. So what if you eat a corn dog & Tigger Tail, you've probably burned 2000 calories. It all evens out in the end, at least that's the way I like to think of it.;)

When I first saw people walking around with a turkey leg, I made fun of them. I thought "who wants to walk around with a big chunk of meat in disneyland". Then I thought about what I thought (yes, thinking about thoughts...) and it hit me... that sounds AMAZING.

Get a turkey leg.
Get the jealous/weird looks from people as you walk through DTD and such with this massive stick of meat.

So wonderful

My husbands to favorites are clam chowder in a bread bowl (multiple locations around the parks) and the planetary pizza salad at red rocket pizza port.

My daughter and I love the steak salad at the harbor dock near splash/ haunted.

We all love eating at Rancho Del Zocalo (mexican, near big thunder).

sweet treats: kids both love the apple pie caramel apples (caramel apple dipped in white choc., rolled in cinnamon and sugar and graham cracker) I love the "peanut butter sandwich" from the candy shop. Oh, and the lemon cupcakes at the hungry bear have the best honey lemon frosting.

Oh, and we all like the wild bleu yonder burger at taste pilots. The yogurt parfait at taste pilots is pretty good too.

Wow they're dairy free? Could have fooled me. I'd hate to think about what it's made of! :scared1:

Actually, I thought they did have milk proteins in it.....I actually like a Dole Whip occasionally, not all the time but they aren't terrible. I know a lot of people say they taste like plastic but to me they just taste like pineapple. :)

Not all the looks are jealousy, mine are weird because I can't understand how someone would want to walk around DL with a hunk of meat like that. Gross......now at the Ren Faire, yes, but at DL, not so much. :)

Must haves, I like the Mickey ice cream bar, churros (best churros ever are at DL), Apple Pie Caramel Apple (they used to cut them for you, now they just give you a knife :( ). I like Taste Pilot's Grill, Wild Bleu Yonder burger, no steak sauce please, I'd rather slather it in BBQ sauce, onion rings instead of fries please :) I know DD and I will eat there at least once in July. I like the cheese enchiladas at Rancho, the teriyaki at Luckey Fortune Cookery, the Lobster Nachos at the Cove Bar, I love breakfast at RBT and CC, I love the Pomme Frites, Gumbo and yes, I like the MC sandwich as well. Oh at FM I like the pasta, very cheesy. :) I'm sure there are other things I like to consider must-have's but my goal this trip is to try a few new things. I may try for Hungry Bear's Fried Green Tomato Sandwich, I've got a reservation at CCT, would like to try the pasta place in DCA (Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta?) and I'm going to eat at Jolly Holiday Bakery at least once. :)

I am planning our first ever DLR trip this December (we have been to WDW several times and always do dining/ADRs, but have never been to DLR) and started reading this to make a list -- OMG! I think we could spend the week doing nothing but walking around eating, and still not get to try it all! And that's not even getting to the table service places (and Character dining) we want to try!!! :goodvibes We'll have to do a marathon just to work it all off! ;)
