What are your 10 worst restaurants at WDW?

You know, at least 4 restaurants on each of these lists would make "My Most Favorites." Some of the rest I have never tried.

I guess it just goes to show that we all have different experiences at the same restaurants on different days/nights. And (except for the service problems) we all have different tastes. :thumbsup2

Mama Melrose dinner.

I have had better frozen Italian meals and the service was horrible from start to finish.

P.S. Peco's Bills is our FAVORITE counter service and we have been known to go to MK just to eat there! LOVE the burgers and the amazing all you can eat condiment bar!!

Did not like the food in Morocco - love the atmosphere -beautiful

Last Character B-fast at Restaurantasauous was horrible - worst disney meal we ever had. I am not surprised they closed it!

Tony's is just too expensive for what you get, if they served red wine in the MK & I drank some with dinner perhaps I wouldn't care :rotfl2:

Any restaurant on any given day might be bad so I think any place is worth a second chance. For the volume, I think most of the Disney restaurants do a pretty good job.

Here are the ones I had bad meals at:

Sc Fi (Dinner) - (to be the fair year before I had a decent lunch)

San Angel (Great Atmosphere, mediocore food)

Cap n Jacks - (Not the worst meal, but the place was dirty and the hostess was nasty)

Toy Story Pizza Planet - I ordered a personal pizza with a topping, it literally threw them for a loop and I waited over 20 minutes for it. Aren't thsese things pretty much pre-made Pizza Hut type pizzas.

Raglan Road - The all time worst restaurant experience I ever had. I know this place was new when I went, but the waiter was horrible and clueless and the food was not good at all. I ordered a steak well done, it came to me an hour and a half later raw. I asked if they could cook it more and it took another hour to get back to me and it was just as raw. I could not believe how bad this place was.

Liberty tree tavern
Rose and crown
Hoop de doo review
Kona cafe (food ok service uncomfortable)
CS
Captain Cooks

The only place that I can say we would never go again is Crystal Palace (for dinner).

Liberty Tree Tavern. I would never go back.

ABC Commissary needs a few more choices. Oh, and they need to go back to their OLD breakfast menu.

Agreed. I often see restaurants recommended that are on my "worse" list and that doesn't invalidate those suggestions at all - it just points out that we all have different taste's and expectations. Not to mention that any place can have an off (or on) day.

My thought in this thread was to find out which places get the most mentions for poor dining experiences so that others might better spend their money elsewhere. Or at least know what others have experienced there.

We see some of our favs on here as well (especially ABC Commissary as we love their Cuban sandwich)

Our least favorites in order of yuckiness are:

1) Hollywood & Vine (gross food, terrible atmosphere and service) Rating: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

2) Ragland Road (absolutely awful inedible entrees but the bread & butter pudding was divine!) Rating: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

3) 1900 Park Fair (this place should be called 1900 Park Blah) Rating: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

4) Restaurant Marrakesh (so so food but good entertainment) Rating: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

5) Coral Reef: Blnd food and not so good service Rating: :crazy2: :crazy2:

Honorable Mention

Alfredo's - that place was sooooo bad thank goodness they closed it - anything would be better than it was :scared:

I feel so lucky in that I have eaten at many of these places and never had a bad meal. I did have a bad meal once at Rain Forest Cafe but that was here in AZ and it made me steer clear at WDW.

Here are the only two I could come up with as really being bad:

1. Big River Grille
2. Rainforest Cafe DTD

I also found Planet Hollwywood to be very unimpressive. Not necessarily bad, but I wouldn't bother going back.

One of the reasons I'm sure Disney has nothing to worry about is that we still eat at some of our "worsts!" :lmao:

Prime example of this is Sci-Fi. Love, love, love the atmosphere - it's a cool place to "park it" in the middle of a hot day. The food, though, is just not very impressive and we've always found the service to be unreliable - one trip it might be great, he next may be awful. :confused3

What to do?

We'd had similar results with Tony's Town Square but a streetside table at parade time more than makes up for a so-so meal for us - the kids barely look at what they're eating! Hmmm... this might be a great time to slip in a veggie or two! ;)

I agree that CS meals at the studios are awful. Yuck. Makes it tough for us to ever plan to spend a full day at the studios - sooner or later I'm going to get hungry!

I guess that's what makes all these discussions carry on for pages and pages - everybody has their own version of the "Disney experience" - now that I'm reflecting on it, I think ours just expects lousy food somewhere along the way...:scared1:

One time at Sci-Fi, my bf ordered some sandwich and when the waitress brought it she said something about liver. There it's soo dark as is, but he found actual liver on his sandwich IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO COME WITH IT, NO MENTION OF IT ON THE MENU, totally grossed him out. That WAS nasty!

We were'nt on the DDP and ate at the Coral Reef. We were eating cheap so i orded the crab bisque (tASTED LIKE DIRT, it was soooo gritty!) and DF got the smoked fish appetizer. It was sooo cold and slimy! He couldnt eat it, he kept saying, here try this, lol. ewww it was icky.

We didnt care for the Crystal Palace dinner, too fancy of food for our taste. WCC skillet and Ohana's is our kinda tastes.

However, we still love the restaurants in DW and it's our main excitment on our trip.

I don't have ten restraurants I don't like, but the worst service I've had was at 1900 Park Fare, and the worst thing I've eaten has been pizza from the All Star Music food court.

The only one I REALLY have a problem with (so far) is Cosmic Rays. I have had some very unpleasent experiences there the past two times I have been there and will NEVER return! :headache:

1. Cinderella's Royal Table
2. Tony's Town Square
3. Big River Grille
4. Marrakesh
5. Maya Grill
6. Pecos Bill's
7. Sci-Fi
8. Cinderella's Royal Table
9. San Angel
10. Cinderella's Royal Table

So really don't like that Cinderellas Royal Table do ya:rotfl2: That just cracked me up

ABC Commissary
Sci-Fi
WCC (1st time was great, last time was awful!)
