What are you training for NOW???

I sure need to put something on my calendar......I promised myself and DH that I would do nothing more than a 10K before the fall. After 3 fulls this past year, the body is aching a bit (not to mention a little burnout!)

Maybe the Little Rock Marathon Relay in March
Help with Women Can Run in the Spring, with the 5K graduation in May
Toad Suck Daze (don't ask) 10K in May
ToT 13K in October (oh, yeah, we're coming back!!!!)
Goofy in January

If knee surgery goes well next Thurs, I will be doing DL 1/2(Got to have that new medal for doing both WDW & DL races) and ToT 13K before 4th Goofy(2nd Dopey).

I'm hoping to do 1 or 2 Olympic distance triathlons within the next year. Hopefully the WDW in the fall (if there IS one) & 1 or 2 others up here in NE Fla.

1st marathon next month.

Gotta' start swimmin'.

Oh yeah, ToT 13 in October.

Hi Amy- I've signed up for Cleveland in May. I'm definitely doing the half with my SiL, and I may continue on and complete the full. I'm registered for the full, but I can switch to the half if I want. I'm also considering the 1/2M in Delaware (Caesar Rodney?) in March. That way I can go down and visit my Father.

I'm so full of post-event blues that I can't get motivated to walk to the mailbox, much less start training again. In spite of this, my "resting vacation" will end January 27 when I start training for the Frederick (Maryland) Half on May 3 (I think).

I'd love to do the Frederick Full, but they have a 14:00 minimum pace. I've always been under 14:00, but don't want to have that kind of pressure hanging over me for 26.2. So I'll stick with the Half and just have it hanging over me for 13.1 instead.

The National Marathon to Fight Breast Cancer in Jacksonville Beach, Feb 17th.

It's kinda' (that's "kind of" for our northern friends...) close, so it's gonna' (That's "going to" for our, uhhhh,................... never mind) be sloooooooooooooooooow. My friend Jeff, who is OBVIOUSLY on the dark side of the force & keeps DRAGGING me to these things, wants to do a sub 5 hour.

Maybe, maybe not. If we don't H.A. at the start & my feet still work, it might be possible.

In the short term, The Matanzas 5K in town next week.

I'll be there with you on 2/17. It should be a good run. I ran with Jeff Galloway at the Full and they sure are putting a lot of effort into the Breast Cancer.

I mentioned that I thought it was a pretty gutty move to have part of the marathon on the beach. Hope it is low tide and no red tide.

Not sure yet......If I can get enough money in the next couple of weeks before it closes I might register for the GOOFY:3dglasses ........also I'm thinking about the ING Georgia half marathon in March, or the Azalea Trail 10K in March....as well as the Minnie 10K in May and the Race for the Taste in October. I might need to invest in an annual pass this yearpirate:

5ks aside, next up is the Little Rock marathon relay in March. At least I won't have to do this one by myself. ;) The only other scheduled event is the Rock 'n Roll San Antonio Half marathon in November. Oh, and outside of running, I'm going to do the 100K Hotter 'N Hell bike ride in August.

)

I'm signed up for that one also! I'm going to stay local for a while:

Capitol 10K in Austin
Texas Round up 10K (or 5K if my DS11 agrees to do it with me)
San Antonio Rock n Roll Half Marathon

That's it's so far besides some local New Braunfels 5K's.

Although Im really tempted by the Tower of Terror in Oct. Especially since I just got a pin code for that time period.:rolleyes1

I'm hesitating because DS starts middle school this year and I'm not sure how that will go.
