what are you thankful for?

I am thankful for too many things to list here.
But here's a couple big ones.
Being of relatively sound mind and body would start it.
Getting through this year and finding more people that care about me than I ever could have imagined.

"Nearly 13 million people in Southern Africa face extreme food shortages between now and April 2003. Zimbabwe, Malawi and Zambia are particularly affected. Donor countries need to fund a major emergency food aid operation immediately. But in the long-term the food crisis will recur unless the right to food for all is put top of the agenda of international financial institutions and governments both inside and outside the region, and policies changed.

Oxfams are appealing for donations to address the famine. You can make a difference."

I'm thankful for my wonderful husband
my sometimes well behaved hell hounds
my new house
the fact that my husband and I both still have jobs despite far too many close calls this past year
and for good friends and family :D

I am thankful for my family, Marie's continued remission from breast cancer, my career and the good it can mean for people, our great country and most of the people here on the DIS, a fine little community in itself.

God bless most of you.

You're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, DAN :D :) :D. Most DISers are quite deserving,.................. but there ARE a few bad eggs :( :( :( .......

Im thankful for my wonderful DH who works so hard to provide for our family and to give our boys all the opportunities they want, and for my super children--each one so different, but also so wonderful! Im thankful that we have a home, vehicles and food to feed our children. Im very thankful that our parents are in great health and living well, and that our siblings are too. Im thankful for the opportunity to worship and share our faith with our children. And, Im thankful for the DIS! I love it here! :D
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

I am so thankful that the Lord has blessed me with a great dh and dd. God has been very, very good to me.

I guess I could make a list a mile long of things to be thankful for, but for the last 7 years there is only one thing that means the world to me. Seven years ago 2-day after Thanksgiving my DH was in an auto accident, he was not expected to live. He's a fighter, and fight he did against all odds. Three years later more complications, it was touch and go for a week. Happy to say he's still here and after 6 1/2 he has returned to work.

There isn't a day that goes by when I'm not thankful, Thankful for life.

Family. My husband is such a loving, supportive, happy, wonderful man. My sister is my best friend and we spend as much time together as possible. We see my parents at least once a week and enjoy helping each other with yard work and home projects. We're an extremely close family and I wouldn't have it any other way. :)

I'm also thankful for the cutest dog in the world and two cuddly kitties. Terrific friends. A roof over my head. Spending the day fixing Thanksgiving dinner with the people who mean the most to me in the whole world.

I am thankful for the health and well being of my family including my mother who lives with us.
I am thankful that we will all be able to be together for the Holidays to share good times.
I am thankful for a God who has always been there and in times of tragedy has held me up and given me peace. I know that everything is in His hands.

Yesterday in church Rev Dh had people write down what they are thankful for and he read them during the prayer time...my 6 yo was thankful for the computer and his grandma.

I am thankful for good health, family, friends and the generosity thereof - whether of material things or time.

And I would like add a "GOD BLESS" to ALL DISers.

I am thankful for my wonderful five children and my wonderful dh who has been taking care of me as I was hit by a truck last monday and I am very thankful that the accident wasn't worse and I am here to celebrate with my family and friends !

Of course, I'm so thankful for being blessed with a wonderful husband.

I'm very thankful that my grown son is employed after so many years at university :) I had visions of him living at home and playing nintendo all day

I'm thankful for the DIS. I'm made some really good friends here, I look forward to visiting this community every day.

Allow me to echo, JTB, I hope God Blesses all DISers.

I am grateful to have a wonderful DH and two children.

I'm grateful I have such a supportive extended family.

I'm grateful for my 12 steps.

I'm so thankful that when I feel lonely I can hop on the Dis and feel better.

I'm very grateful for finally staying at GF this past Oct.

And especially for my higher power who makes everything above possible.

I am thankful for my very best friend and another person who is slowly becoming a very good friend...

Plus all my internet pals...some of whom know all my drama and put up with me daily... you know who you are! Thank you from the bottom fo my heart! {{{hugs}}}

And I am also very very thankful for my family and my little pumpkin.

I am simply thankful for everything. I have a tendency to be negative, and to always see the worst possibilities first, but I am thankful that I've been able to see hope for a better future for my family. My husband lost his job several weeks ago, which was more distressing than I could have imagined. What I've learned is that my husband's job was killing him...his physical ailments and anxiety are now gone. I am thankful that this happened because he now has the chance to start over and be happy.

Of course, I'll be most thankful when he finds a good job. :)

I'm thankful that even though I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, the doctors found it early, before it spread. Even though I still had to go thru chemo and radiation, I have a good prognosis for a long, healthy life.

And I'm very thankful for my wonderful DH, for being there for me during my treatments (and every day) and for giving me my shots every day to keep my white count up so I wouldn't get sick during chemo.

And I'm thankful for my 2 DS's- every day they give me new reasons to realize what a powerful thing love is - if I didn't love them so much I'd probably wring their necks!!:) ;)

You're a sweetheart to include big-time sinners like myself. The righteous DISers feel that GOD is more selective.:) :) :) .......
