Okay, so this has been one crazy year.
It's been wonderful and it's been devastating all at the same time. As I sat in my living room tonight, watching the lights twinkle on my Christmas tree (yes, it's already up
) and watched my kids playing together so sweetly (for a change
) I was almost moved to tears just thinking about how blessed I really am. This year has really made a LOT of people reevaluate what is really important and treasure those closest to them that much more. So I thought this would be the perfect thread to start here as Thanksgiving approaches and we all take the time to reflect about what we are most thankful for.
Soooo. let's hear it. What are you most thankful for this year? Let's do maybe top three? Okay, here's mine:
1. Of course, my family. I have two beautiful, healthy children who are the light of my life, and a wonderful husband to share it all with.
2. The fact that our home and our family was spared during Hurricane Katrina. (This could start an I'm thankful for...tangent, including things like "I'm thankful for all my dirty clothes that need to be washed, etc. so I'll just leave it at that.)
3. I'm thankful for volunteers who selflessly give so much of themselves to those who have so little.
Everybody have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!!!
