What are you snacking on

o r e o ' s!!!

One of God's greatest gifts to society.

Oh I agree.....I think I could eat a whole box of those

I agree! Have you ever had Oreo balls? Crush up a package of Oreos (I always get double stuff) and mix w/ 1-8 ounce package of cream cheese. Roll them into balls and dip them in melted white chocolate. (I actually use almond bark.) That is about the only thing that can make an Oreo any better than it already is!

But to answer the question, I am snacking on handFULS of chocolate chips from a big ol' bag I purchased at Sam's last week. From the amount I have eaten, I think it counts as a meal, not a snack.

That sounds insane. I might have to stop by the store on the way home and pick me up some Oreos, cream cheese and white chocolate.

When I first started making them, it was soooo messy but oh so worth it. I have it down pat now and make very little mess. My kids request these for all special occasions. It's easier if you have a food processor to just throw your Oreos in there. If it's a larger capacity FP, you can put the whole pkg. of Oreos in there and then add the cream cheese until it is well mixed. If the FP is not large, or you do not have a FP, you can put them in a gallon size Ziploc bag and crush them...in shifts. Then put the crushed cookies in a bowl and mix (with your hands) with the room temperature cream cheese. I have the Pampered Chef Scoops and I just use the "small" scoop to scoop them out and place them on wax paper. The last 6-7 times I have made them, I have used some kind of white chocolate that was already in a "pan" (though it was a plastic "pan"). You can put it in the microwave and then when you are finished, throw it away. I can't remember the name of the stuff, but 1 package was enough to coat the balls. Just roll the balls around in the white chocolate/almond bark/whatever it is and put back on the wax paper to set. At first the balls are all white, but towards the end, they begin to get Oreo crumbles on them. Doesn't effect the way they taste, just their appearance. We have experimented with mint and other flavored Oreos and with dark chocolate, but we all agree the original recipe is the best! I keep what few we have left in the fridge but they are great room temperature or cold. They are great to make ahead and keep in the fridge for camping trips as well. :cool1: If you try them, let me know what you think.

Yup, definitely gonna have to try those. My girls would love them. I'll bet I can even recruit my youngest to do the messy work.

Taco's for lunch, and half a pint of Cherry Garcia!!

OMG I think you just wrecked my diet!!!! :rotfl2: I will be trying that soon...there is no way I can possibley resist!

I was good though....I had nothing at my DDs first grade ice cream social. I came home and had a 60 calorie organic frozen blackberry bar. I just might undo the whole thing after I make a trip to Kroger.....

Sorry! Just do what I do...get out the tennis shoes. Eat and walk, eat and walk, eat and walk. The only reason I exercise is so I can eat what I want. :)

Mike, we gotta talk about your diet.

As near as I can tell, a significant part of Mike's diet consists of raisin bran, coffee and tacos - a potentially explosive mix with serious consequences.

:lmao:

Well, I'm still being pretty good.....never made it to Kroger so I'm forced to be healthy and wait on those Oreo thingys. For shame.

I made a big beautiful salad with veggies from our local organic co-op. Some pan fried catfish and skillet corn bread. Now just waiting on the hubby to get home so we can EAT!
