I just read the greatest book. It's called Bad Faith by Aimee & David Thurlo. It is a mystery, the first in a series they are calling The Sister Agatha Series.

What are you reading?

I've been reading James Michener's Alaska for months now. I can't read much at a time, but I'm really enjoying it. DH and I have a booking on an Alaskan Cruise this summer so this is really giving me an idea of some of the history, geography, etc.

Hopefully I will be reading this one soon....

"Seeing in the Dark" Timothy Ferris:D

I am currrently reading "SHOCK" by Dr.Robin Cook. What a writer!

"The Timepiece" by someone Evans (Richard ??? Evans?). It's part 2 in a Christmas trilogy, and so far very good. Part 1 (The Christmas Box) was bittersweet but very touching. I'm expecting part 2 to be the same.

Next in line is Geomancer (remember that Mancer series I couldn't find book 3 for about a year ago? This is book 3, finally found it at the library)

I also picked up a book at the library that looked like fun on the Philosophy of Pooh. Dunno if I'll end up reading all of it or not, but if nothing else it'll be fun to browse through. :)

Stephen Ambrose's D-Day book. I love history :)

I just finished Gravity by Tess Gerritson. I started another, but I'm too lazy to get up and check the title. I'm also in the middle of Team Rodent.

Alternating between "Farmer Boy" by Laura Ingalls Wilder, and "Fall Down Laughing" by David L. Lander (Squiggy of Laverne and Shirley, he has MS, just like me, and I also found out he has the same neurologist).

I recently asked for mystery suggestions & got a bunch. The only one that the library had when I went up was 4th in the Bed & Breakfast Mystery series by Mary Daheim - Holy Terrors. (At least it's the 4th my library has.)

I ended up enjoying it, but did find it a little harder to get through than the books in the Tamar Myers "PA Dutch Mystery with Recipes" series. I think it was because the protagonist is a member of the Catholic church. I don't have a problem with that, but some of the church related experiences were outside my realm of experience. I had to THINK more about it, I guess. Do you know what I mean?

On the other hand, the Myers series was VERY familiar to me because I'm much more familiar with PA Dutch, Amish & Mennonite culture.

I just finished "prey" by Michael Crighten (sp?)- didn't really like it.....

These days, I've been reading The DIS :teeth:

Right now I'm reading Rough Justice by Lise Scottoline

I plan on getting a lot of reading done this break!

Just finished Alice Siebold's "The Lovely Bones." I cried, it was so hauntingly beautiful, sad, yet hopeful. One of the most moving books I have read in a long time.

Suzanne I read that book recently it was really good.

Right now I am reading "New Conversations with God" and "Poisonwood Bible".

Thanks to my Mod Secret Santa, I am now reading Anne Lamott's "The Blue Shoes". Just got it tonight in the mail, and I'm on page 3. :)

Got into some heavier reading in the past few months.
Currently I'm in the middle of "Hatred, Bigotry, and Prejudice- Definitions, Causes & Solutions"
I've also started to re-read a book I bought years ago when a friend was caught up in a religious cult out in Colorado.
That book is called "Combatting Cult Mind Control" by Steven Hassan.
Hassan educates the public on what drives/motivates people to become controlled by destructive cults.

I'm also reading the occasional paperback to keep my mood light at times. :)

Carrying the Cross to Columbine by Garlin Newton which is required reading for my class next term...I'm getting a head start.

For fun I'm alternating with Dale Carnegie's Lifetime Plan for Success: How to Win Friends & Influence People; How to Stop Worrying & Start Living..his work is so inspiring!
