I just finished A Reliable Wife and Mudbound was recommended if I liked RW. I also have The Help but haven't read it yet, although my grandmother has mentioned several times I must read it.You would probably enjoy the book Mudbound.

What did you think of A Reliable Wife? I used a gift card to get it at Borders after they recommended it to me.
I'm reading the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Very dark, but I can't put it down. It's very addicting! Next up will be Catching Fire.
Just started The Lovely Bones. I am not sure if I can keep reading it. It makes me too sad.
My younger DD read those a little while back and ever since has turned into a reading machine! SHe raved about them!
I just finished The Help and have started A Reliable Wife. LOVED The Help.
I had a hard time getting into it, but I'll have to give it another try. Good to know you liked it.But I wanted to come back and heartily recommend That Old Cape Magic, by Richard Russo! It was such a nice read. I think it's my favorite book by him.
A lot of people here do but not me. I tend to read in color and scents and there have been times when I find myself thinking about the story when I'm not reading. A really good book can flavor my life so I don't read more than one at a time.Brooklyn / Colm Tóibín
SAG HARBOR / Colson Whitehead
Knit Two / Kate Jacobs
I'm sure you all read several books at one time.

Firefly Lane, by Kristin Hannah--a wonderful novel about female friendship. I really enjoyed it. . .
