I am reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner.

Just finished reading Blindness by Jose Saramago. Good book, but his writing style is unique. Runon sentences, paragraphs that are 3 or 4 pages long. It was difficult to read but you got used to it after awhile.

I'm reading "Plum Island" by Nelson DeMille...I haven't read that much yet but it seems interesting.
Great, living on the shoreline in CT i'm sure this is a book that will make it difficult to sleep at night. :rotfl:

The Da Vinci Code- finally!

Lemony Snickett's A Series of Unfortunate Events- 8 year old DD is reading to me

Warriors: The New Prophecy Book 1 Midnight- reading to 6 year old DD

Need some really good suggestions, so keep them coming!:goodvibes

Finished FULL BLOOM now I'm reading FULL SCOOP. Picked up NEW MOON at the library today. Saw the movie so can't wait to read the book. I'm told the left so much out.

I am reading Wildcat Wine by Claire Matturro. It is the second book in a series about a Lawyer in Sarasota.

Under the Dome by Stephen King. 130 pages in and I'm really enjoying it! Still have a loooooong way to go though. :thumbsup2

I wasn't planning on getting out today, but the library called and said they had "Under the Dome" for me so I hopped in the car and drove into town to pick it up. I've only gotten 40 pages read so far, but I think I'm going to REALLY like it!! A BIG :thumbsup2 for this one!!

Currently reading "A Creed COuntry Christmas" By Linda Lael Miller

Up next: Divine Midemenors by Laurell K Hamilton!!! Can't wait to read it.

I just finished "The Book Thief," a very good book, but sadly depressing. Now I'm onto finishing the Kennedy memoir, "True Compass." Which, by the way, is a very good book, even if you aren't a Ted Kennedy admirer. I have Andre Agassi's book, "Open," on deck.

I read I, Alex Cross yesterday. It didn't disappoint.

Today, I'll be starting Charlaine Harris' new book, Grave Secrets. That should be a quick read, too, and then I'll be back to finish The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo.

I'm reading BED OF ROSES by Nora Roberts.
Is this the same story as the movie with Christian Slater and Mary Stuart Masterson? That movie was about a widower who sees a woman crying in a window while he was on a walk and he sends her flowers because he's a florist and wants to cheer her up? I loved that movie.

I am reading "Marked" (House of Night series, book 1) by Kristin Cast, and just started "Gallows Thief" by Bernard Cornwell (he of the Richard Sharpe books). I do have "Under the Dome" ordered for December 24th (all books on Kindle).

By the by: I ordered Under the Dome when the price went down to $7.99. Price war!

I haven't read a Stephen King in a long time. I've gotten to be a lazy reader, reading books more like James Patterson and things like that. Books that are easily picked up and put down and still able to pick up and jump right in after a few days. I know from past experience Stephen King is really something you need to devote your attention to and was quite scared when I opened the cover and saw three pages of characters. I also know that for me, sometimes it takes 100-200 pages of feeling completely lost before I finally figure out what's going on. Not so with this book. Picked it up and it immediately drew me in. I'm at about page 300 and still very much enjoying it. I also think it will make a wonderful doorstop when I'm done. :lmao:

Enjoy MIGrandma!

No, this one is about 4 female best friends since childhood who run a wedding consulting agency called VOWS. It follows their lives through 4 books. The first was called VISION IN WHITE and was about Mackensie Elliot the photographer. This one I'm reading is about Emma Grant the florist. They are very good!

LOL, you sound like me-got the next several mapped out in your mind. I'm almost done with While My Sister Sleeps, by Barbara Delinsky. Then on to Chances are by Barbara Bretton, my first time reading this author, then Wed and Buried by Mary Daheim.

Finished BED OF ROSES on Saturday. Started AND finished LOVE OVERBOARD by Janet Evanovich on Saturday too! NOW I'm reading NEW MOON! Can't wait to see how much better it is than the movie. Already see some major differences and I'm only to chapter 3.

I'm glad you posted this. :) I'm going to order, Bed of Roses! I'm waiting for the 3rd installment of the Death series, Immortal in Death. I love Nora Roberts! I think I'll like this series too! Thanks!

Welcome! I've read ALL her IN DEATH series except KINDRED IN DEATH. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG wait on that one at the library.

Just finished The Widow's Season and starting The Art of Racing in the Rain. Sad to say that I just recently started reading books again. I was just at a point in my life that was incredibly busy taking care of kids and pretty much just read newspapers and magazines. I used to love to read and am looking forward to going back on this thread and getting ideas. I did read the Twilight series this summer.
