What Are You Reading Right Now?

I haven't posted in a while. I started some medical classes, so I've been reading Medical Terminology and Anatomy books. Ick!

For fun, I've read "We Thought You Would Be Prettier; True Tales from the World's Dorkiest Girl" by Laurie Notaro. This was hysterically funny! Seriously, there were times when I would laugh out loud and have to pin my DH down so I could read him something. He also thought it was very funny!

I've also finished "Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow." This is a YA book that is a re-telling of the fairy tale "East of the Sun and West of the Moon." Fantastic book!!! I couldn't put it down!

Next up for fun is "Book of a Thousand Days," by Shannon Hale, and "Ella Minnow Pea" by Mark Dunn.

My Sister's Keeper--Jodi Picoult (for the 3rd time!)
The Rape of the Lock--Alexander Pope (for Brit Lit)

I think that Just Listen was my favorite of the Dessen books so far. Lock and Key comes in a close second. Are you liking it?

Definitely Dead just arrived in the mail today . Looks to be another fun Sookie story.

I just got into the series.. I'm on the third book and I'm LOVING them!!

I'm doing the audiobooks and the girl who "reads" them is incredible. Gives it a whole other dimension!

Well, I have you all to Blame.....I just pre-ordered the new Dan Brown book on Amazon.ca and I had to find some books to add to my order to get some free shipping...So I ordered the first Sookie Stackhouse book Dead until Dark, the first 3 in the Stephanie Plum Series and a book on Paris, France I had to have....


I will get back on here as soon as I read one to let you know if I liked them.

I just want to say, I follow this thread avidly and now have about a million books on my want to read list. I'm really envious, I would love to crawl up and read a good book! Life here is just too crazy now, but FWIW, I'm reading "Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle" to my DD!

Most history books paint him as a wonderful man. When I got to know what he was really about, I was shocked that we still admire him.

Ben Franklin wasn't exactly a man I would have wanted to know. Lies My Teacher Told Me by James W. Lowen has some very interesting information. I was fascinated when I picked it up. And I am a teacher!

Psych - I was just going to look up that "Lies My Teacher Told Me" book on Amazon. My son and I read it together a couple of years ago and it was a huge eye opener.

Finally sat down and began reading Corsair by Clive Cussler and Jack Du Brul. It's gonna be quick reading!

The Host. I just started reading it and it's a little hard to get into.

I agree The Host was very hard to get into but it really is worth it in the end I think. I really enjoyed this book. I did not like the Twilight book though.


I'm currently reading Forever by Nora Roberts, it has 2 stories in one. I'm almost done with the first story.

Up next is the new Sandra Brown and Karen Marie Moning (Spelling?)
