I am sorry if this book has been discussed on this thread before but I just wanted to see if any of you are reading/have read "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."

I was at my local Border's yesterday and the workers were ranting and raving about it. I decided to wait to buy it until I read all of the books I currently have.

Has anyone read it?

After years of resistance, I'm finally taking on the Harry Potter series. I'm trying to tackle the books this summer, esp. so I can perhaps see the latest movie in the theater. I have to admit, I'm hooked!

OMG, that was the BEST book!!! I'm waiting until Tuesday to get the sequel. It was really really really good. It was a page turner, but it was also well-written. I don't know that it's for everyone, though. I've only recommended it to some friends, not all.

My daughter started me on Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter books! OMG--they are FANTASTIC!!! Each one gets better than the next!! I am currently on book 8.

Yesterday I read - in 4 hours: Not Just The Levees Broke by Phyllis Montana-LeBlanc.. It's a true survivors story of a woman and her DH who were trapped in NO during Hurricane Katrina.. Fascinating (although gruesome) reading - and for anyone who might choose to read this book, be forewarned that there is quite a bit of profanity in it.. She really "tells it like it was"..

Put that book down and immediately started a NY Times Bestseller: The Great Deluge - Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, And The Mississippi Gulf Coast - by Douglas Brinkley.. Again - fascinating and horrifying at the same time.. Filled with tons of factual information (sources provided) and gives a much bigger picture of what HK did to the entire Gulf Coast.. It's 686 pages and I'm about halfway through.. Very, very hard to put down..

What did you think of that book? I read that one recently. I read another by her too, Promises in Death.

I haven't picked up that 1 yet. But I gotta say I am head over heels addicted to Eve Dallas and Roarke. If you haven't yet, I'd recommend getting Naked In Death which is the absolute beginning of the series. So far my ultimate favorite of the series is Conspiracy In Death. The only reason I haven't picked up Salvation yet is because I am trying to space them so i don't have that long between paperback issues

Ha! you think you're addicted now, wait until you get a Kindle and have the ability to order the next book by an author while lounging in a beach chair (like I was this past weekend!) I actually read quicker now with the Kindle than I did before!

That's one of her better newer books. I had quit reading DS years ago, but picked that one up and could not put it down. Two others that I enjoyed were HRH and Sisters.
