I am reading Poison Study by Maria V Snyder. So foar I am finding it an entertaining read.

What kind of books are they? Is it a mystery series like James Patterson, Kathy Reichs etc?

These are really good books. I haven't read the others you mentioned, but they follow a girl named Stephanie Plum, who in the first book becomes a bounty hunter, not because she is good at it, but for the lack of another job, and no money. There is a mystery in each book, someone she is tracking down. She manages to get into all kinds of trouble usually, and the books are full of great, funny characters. I especially love her Grandma and her ex-hooker coworker Lula. I am only on the 6th book right now, Hot Six, but the 15th just came out.

i'm reading "the way he made me feel" by tatiana thumbtzen

she was the girl michael jackson "danced" with in the video "the way you make me feel"

I finished Finger Lickin Fifteen. :rotfl:

And just started Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot.

It is taking me a little bit to get into this one.

"The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane" by Katherine Howe. I am almost done and so far really like it. I like books like this that give you historical insight into different time periods.:)

the only thing I really don't like is that clues and connections are pretty obvious to the reader - but it takes the main character too long to put them together. She is bright and educated on these topics and time period and yet, the author makes her clueless on things she should already know or be able to put together.

Before that: "Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side" by Beth Fantaskey. Just ok. I pre-read teen books before I let DD11 read them.

I just got, The Accidental Tourist, by Anne Tyler. I'm excited to read it. I know there is a movie about it with John Voit I believe, haven't seen it. I'd like to see it after I read the book.

I also just got, Eat This, Not That For Kids, by David Zinczenko. I'm looking forward to that one too.

William Hurt is in the movie with Geena Davis, I think. As usual, the book is better than the movie.

Thanks. I couldn't remember, I only saw a few snippets from the trailer and that was long ago. Books are generally better than movie versions.

I just finished reading James Patterson "Sundays at Tiffany's"!
I loved it. I wanted my own imaginary friend by the end of the book!
Something I would so see as a movie on Lifetime!

I can't wait to start reading Nora Roberts "Black Hills". I read some of it in the back of "Tribute" and wanted more. So I think it will be a good read!:hippie:

Maxiamun Ride novel on hold (any good?) and also trying one from Vampire Academy.

I loved "When the Wind Blows" and "The Lake House". They introduce and carry on with Maximum Ride's story. I didn't like the MR series as much as the first books, so I stopped reading them.

I don't think Patterson is as good of a young adult writer as he is an adult writer. Hence, I also didn't like "The Dangerous Days of Daniel X."

Born To Run by Christopher McDougall
Book Description
Full of incredible characters, amazing athletic achievements, cutting-edge science, and, most of all, pure inspiration, Born to Run is an epic adventure that began with one simple question: Why does my foot hurt? In search of an answer, Christopher McDougall sets off to find a tribe of the world’s greatest distance runners and learn their secrets, and in the process shows us that everything we thought we knew about running is wrong.

and Linda Howard's new book
Product Description
It’s true what they say: Money changes everything. And in Linda Howard’s red-hot novel Burn, the changes come fast, furious, and filled with the kind of sexy suspense, heart-stopping romance, beautiful people, and risky business guaranteed to give you the most bang for your buck.

Both excellent!

I am currently reading The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory and Roadside Picnic by Arkady & Boris Strugatsky. I just finished reading Voices From Chernobyl by Svetlana Alexievich.

just today started reading "your body's red light warning signals: over 400 warning signs of life-threatening diseases" by neil shulman, M.D.

Forever Odd, by Dean Koontz. It's the second book in the Odd Thomas series, about a boy who can see dead people. :scared1:

Last night I finished "The Inn at Lake Devine" by Elinor Lipman.

Light, summer reading:thumbsup2
