Just finished Inkheart this morning (won't see the movie without reading the book first). It was interesting.

Started reading Three by Ted Dekker.

Loved Inkheart the book, but was so disappointed with the movie. It was like they spent the entire movie budget on the big name actors, and nothing else.

I just finished reading What I Did for Love by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Just started Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. Just finished Outlander. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! So glad someone on this thread recommended these books!!! I am obsessed with them. I can't wait to get back to them during the day. I think about them at odd moments. I have all of them here waiting to be read. Can't get to them fast enough, and yet, I don't want to be done with them. Does that make sense?:)

I remember that series! It was great.

I just finished Tell No One by Harlan Coben...
I LOVE his books
I also just discovered Michael Palmer.
Im enjoying his books also
I also just picked up an Elizabeth Sims book
My local library is about 50% Christian fiction and I dont mind it too much, but I would like to read other stuff,

What did you think? Normally I buy her hardcovers but this one I didn't - wasn't sure it was worth the price :confused3

I thought it was really good. (I didn't buy it though. I checked it out from the library.)

Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely.

It's a very cool behavioral economics book-I've been applying the theories posited by him over on the DVC board :)

I pull these out once a year and re-read them when I don't want to stretch my brain. They are always good fun.

In the middle of "The Scarlet Letter" by. Nathanial Hawthorne [spelled it wrong.]

But I love it

I just finished "I Am the Messenger" by Marcus Zusak. I was prepared to not like it, but I actually LOVED it. It really made me stop and think. I think it was very well written, and I was left with lots to think about. I can't wait to get to book club on Thursday night and discuss it!

Next up is "The Tenth Circle" by Jodi Picoult.

Oh, I also finished "Will and Me; How Shakespeare took over my life" by Dominic Dromgoole. I DID NOT LIKE THIS BOOK! It was very self indulgent and kind of silly. I'm a Shakespearephile, but this book just didn't do it for me!

Is this like Freakanomics? I enjoyed that book.

Yep, many of the same ideas, some new approaches/opinions to the same ideas, and some ideas I've never even considered before or heard of.

It's a little denser than freakonomics and the beginning where he talks about becoming a behavioral economist because he was a burn victim as a child is a little hard to read (sad), but once you get past that and into the behavioral stuff it's pretty fascinating...

When her last book came out, I bought it and didn't read it for the longest time, because I knew it would leave me hanging!

As posted earlier, I'm reading the Morland Dynasty books now (32 in all) I have so many books right now, these plus a four part Elizabeth Jane Howard, the Inkheart books....I feel so giddy, like when I was a kid and came home with a giant stack of libraty books. :goodvibes

Thanks for all the interesting books. My reading list has grown!

I just finished Emma by Jane Austen and The Reader by Bernhard Schlink.

The first book was, as golfgirl said earlier, great fun. The second book was a very, very quick read but I liked that it offered that there are shades of gray in life. Not everything is black and white.

My current book is Next by Michael Crichton. I believe this was the last one published before he passed away.

Hollywoodhaha: I love the classics! The Scarlet Letter was a great book.
