I just finished, "Where Are You Now", by Mary Higgins Clark. It was great. I really enjoyed reading it. This book started with the end and worked it's way backwards. Good who done it. :)

I'm now reading, "When Day Breaks", by Mary Jane Clark. Another who done it. I'm into about the 9th chapter and it's good already. I'm glad I've given her another try. :)

Ya know I started Where are you.....and just couldn't get involved with it. It's sat on my endtable forever now, maybe I'll give it anotehr vtry. I'm halfway through it for Petes sake!

It was a little slow going in parts, but it started picking up about where you are now. I thought it was done well. Let me know how you like it in the end! :)

I'm reading Finder's Keepers by Fern Michaels. She was recommended to me, and if this book is typical of her writings, I've definitely found a new author! I love this book. Any other Fern Michaels fans?

I really like her writing style. :thumbsup2

"the road to wealth" (suze orman)

"to the scaffold: the life of marie antoinette" (carolly erickson)

I'm re-reading Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks as the movie comes out the end of this month.

We're headed off to Vero Beach this weekend and I plan to take Three Weeks w/ my Brother by Nicholas Sparks to read as well. I wasn't really interested in this one when it first came out as it is a memoir, but I love, love, love all his other books so I'll give it a try...

I love all his books & have read them all...forgot about the movie coming out. Will have to make it a girl's night out. Thanks for the reminder.

I love all his books too! I can't wait for the next. I belive it's schedule release is the end of this month!!! I wish it had been the first of Sept, then I could have read it at Vero!!!

We get a movie and a book all in the same month! Yay!

Foundations of Finance by Keown, Martin, Petty, Scotty Jr.

I have been on a reading jag lately. Over the last few weeks I have finished:

A Thousand Splendid Suns - I liked it better than Kite Runner, but I think both books were somewhat overrated.
Port Mungo - Kind of a mess, but I enjoyed the unique writing style and the overall darkness.
The Namesake - EXCELLENT. I loved it.
The Eight - This was recommended by a co-worker who said it was one of her favorite all-time books. The plot has something to do with antique chess pieces with supernatural powers (some reviews compare it to Da Vinci Code). It's okay, but the character development is nil and the superficial dialogue is driving me crazy.

It seems like it has been such a long time since we've had something new.

I am reading "Odd Thomas" by Dean Kootnz. So far it is really good!

I really like Dean Kootnz. I went through a phase where I read quite a few of his books. My DH bought, "Forever Odd" for me and it's the one book of Dean Kootnz I just can't get into. I feel bad. I wanted to get into it because it was a gift. :( I've tried twice. I will try again at some point. Is the "Odd" story a continuation with other stories? It kind of sounds that way.

While I remember your pain, I must say that when my 7th grade DS brought home his history book for me to cover, I read the three chapters that were on Russian history. Nothing I didn't already know, but my DS was amazed that I picked up his history book to read. Maybe that will make him want to read it, too?

I started From Dead to Worse today. It's the last Sookie Stackhouse for me to read before True Blood starts on Sunday. I'm supposed to have Jury Duty on Friday (hopefully they won't need me since I have a civil suit filed against the man who flipped me and my van over) so I'll finish this and take Real Murders with me. Both are by Charlaine Harris.

I finished Everyone Worth Knowing this morning. It's by Laren Weisberger, who wrote The Devil Wears Prada. Very good book and only took about 3 days to finish with almost 400 pages. Darn DH wanted to watch movies for the past 2 nights, so it took away some reading time.

This afternoon I'm going to start For a Few Demons More.

I'm glad you bumped this thread RUDisney! :)

I've started reading, "Plain Truth" by Jodi Piccoult. It was recommended by someone on this thread. It's hard to put down. Thank you to the person(s) that recommended it!

"Sweet Caroline" - Last Child of Camelot..

I just started Cell by Stephen King. I'm so into it!!
