I also am thinking about reading Kitchen Confidential if anyone has ever read that, I wouldn't mind some opinions.

It's hilarous. You have to like his style though--he can be a little profane.

I read the other book you mentioned also (The Sharper Your Knife...) I enjoyed it, but I liked Kitchen Confidential more.

I just finished reading "A Vineyard in Tuscany: A Wine Lover's Dream." I told my wife that I have to read this book again, it's that good.

"Duma Key" by Stephen King is on deck.

"how not to look old" (charla krupp)

depressing book, this is....

I am reading Gaston de Blondeville by eighteenth century Gothic novelist Ann Radcliffe. I have read all of Mrs. Radcliffe's other novels, many of which are referenced in Jane Austen's books.

I'm just finishing "A Vineyard in Tuscany: A Wine Lover's Dream." It's a very good book and very fast read. "Duma Key" by Stephen King is on deck.

I just finished that one, pretty good.

Now it's back to The Terror by Dan Simmons.

I just finished The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. It's a memoir and it was really good. It was such a page turned, it was hard to put down! Not sure what I'll read next, I'll post back when I decide!

I just finished Cloud Nine by Luanne Rice. I usually enjoy her work, and this one was great. For fans of Nicholas Sparks, Susan Wiggs, and Debbie Macomber, too, this book would be a good read.

I'm reading Lost and Found. I'm not sure how I feel about it so far though. It's about a mom and a daughter who are on a reality show, like amazing race.

Well I finished The Thirteenth Tale last night. What a great read!! I am definitey reading it again!!!

I'm reading Pompeii by Robert Harris. It's good! I don't read as much as I would like to...

Well I finished The Thirteenth Tale last night. What a great read!! I am definitey reading it again!!!

So glad you kept on it!:thumbsup2

I am reading Mistress of the Art of Death by Arianna Franklin. I'm just really getting into it.

The Other Boleyn Girl.
Good book. Wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but it really sucked me in & I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing the movie.

I am reading The Time Travelers Wife.
So am I. What do you think? I'm not sure if I like this or not. I'm not into science fiction at all & am a realist so I'm having a little bit of a tough time with this one. I'm about 130 pages in so I will finish it, but I keep questioning the whole story each time I'm reading it.

My first Picoult was also My Sister's Keeper, did you know they are making it into a movie?
Can't wait to see that. All my DD's read it also & loved it. I'm sure we'll all go see it together!

I just finished Water for Elephants. I really enjoyed it!
Great book. Never thought I'd like it. I've recommended it many times.

Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and I can't put it down. It's sooo good. Takes place in the 12th century- castles, monks, treachery, arson, romance, drama.....really pulls you in and the characters are great.
My DD (18) was watching Oprah a few weeks ago & told me I HAD to get this book. I picked it up & she can't wait to get her hands on it after she's done with The Memory Keeper's Daughter (which was also a good book!)

Well I finished The Thirteenth Tale last night. What a great read!! I am definitey reading it again!!!
LOL! So glad you said this because I have this on my shelf & you didn't seem to pleased with it when you first started reading it!

"fascinating womanhood" (helen andelin)

"rod serling's night gallery: an after-hours tour" (scott skelton)

"dimensions behind the twilight zone" (stewart stanyard)

reading all 3, a little at a time.....

LOL! So glad you said this because I have this on my shelf & you didn't seem to pleased with it when you first started reading it!

Oh it's a great read! Just be patient during the first 20 pages or so :)

Reading....

Eat, Love, Pray

Oprah's Eckhart Tolle's book club book...
A New Earth

Twilight

So far the Tolle book is very deep but nothing that I have not known before. It is daunting at times.

I watched Tibetian Book of the Dead on TV yesterday and that really helped with tying the info together.:thumbsup2

I'm reading The subtle knife, which is the second book in the Golden Compass trilogy. I'm really liking it so far.
