What are you reading right now??

I just finished Peter and Wendy (the novelized version of Peter Pan), followed by Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, by J.M. Barrie.

A fascinating, ominous, sad and even creepy read. I've been reading literary articles about Barrie all afternoon now. Needless to say, I won't look at the Disney attraction in quite the same way. I always knew how dark Peter Pan was supposed to be, but you never quite know until you actually read it just how many layers there are.

I have started a reread of Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. Read it once a while ago and want to refresh my memory.

: I'm pretty sure 10 was the one with the gangs and she hides out in Rangers apartment! Does that sound familiar? It was very funny with Sally character back (tyring to stop cursing). I think one of my favorites was the one where Lula was on all those diets (high protein) and they went to Vegas. :lmao: My kids would ask my why I was laughing out loud.

Yep, I did read it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. ::yes:: Ahhhhh...what's going to happen between Stephanie and Ranger. But we all know that Stephanie and Morelli are "meant to be." :)

I loved the one with Lula's high protein diet too! Lula is a HOOT. But then again, so is Grandma, and so is Sally, and so is the pot-head guy...Evanovich is GREAT with these characters!!!

Just one more laugh....the dogs chasing Lula with the sack of bacon and her spandex mini skirt hikes up .... :rotfl2:

Yes, I agree, Stephanie and Morelli are meant to be... but Ranger has some appeal(like in our dreams). Hope you get to read 11 soon! :thumbsup2

Share some good or great books with others.

I have 100 pages left to read in Diana Gabaldon's A Breath of Snow and Ashes.

I love The Outlander series! Jamie and Claire are one of the best couples in print. If you have not seen this site already, be sure to visit www.lallybroch.com. I used to post there years ago but drifted away back when we had a slow computer. Enjoy the rest of the book!

A Place Called Freedom by Ken Follett. Actually, I read it years ago so it's a re-read. I'm enjoying it. I also like several of his other books.

On deck is The Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Tough by Neta Jackson. It's the 4th book in a series.

I like this thread. I'm a bookaholic! :)

I'm reading A Deadly Game: The Untold Stories in the Scott Peterson Case by Catherine Crier. It is awesome and hard to put down.

Was it good? I took it to WDW in December. Somehow, and I have no idea how it happened, I lost the book. I was about 75 pages into it. GRRRR!!

Is this new Diana Gabaldon (sp?) book in the Outlander series??? I didn't know there was a new one out? I'll have to check!

I'm reading mindless stuff now since nothing I want to read is out yet! I'm waiting on the last book in the Clan of the Cave Bear Series. It's got to be almost time! It's been 4 years now.

Yes--A Breath of Snow and Ashes is the latest book in The Outlander series. It's a good read! As usual, we are left with some questions about what will be happening in the next book.

I recently read "The Falls" by Joyce Carol Oates - I grew up in the area and was excited to learn about this book. Unfortunately this book is very dark and depressing and I really didn't like it at all. It's the second book I've read by that author and I didn't like either one (the first was "We Were the Mulvaneys"). I don't plan to read any more of her books.

I also just finished "A Million Little Pieces" right before the big controversy began. It's funny because I thought it was fiction based on fact as I was reading it. It was still a good story and I don't have any problem with embellishing a bit to make it more interesting to readers. My kids just went to see the movie "Glory Road" - based on a true story - and they were upset because no one slam dunked in that time period - but it's expected by today's audience.

I'm currently reading "Outlander" by Diana Galbadon based on so many recommendations for the series on this board. It's very different from anything I've read lately and I'm really enjoying it. I'll probably switch to something different before I work on the rest of the series.

I just finished Tall Pine Polka By Lorna Landvik. It was hard to get into in the beginning, but I`m glad I stuck with it because I really enjoyed it.
I just started Legacy of Silence by Beva Plain. :wave2:

I am finishing up two books right now, City of Falling Angels, by John Berndt, and Teacher Man, by Frank McCourt. Both are really good, and I am sure I will finish both today seeing as how I am home sick from work

I read LOVELY BONEs awhile ago & had no idea what the book was about. The first chapter was so scarey & I can't belive I kept reading. Then I realize I live where the book is taking place. So know I'm really freaked out. I had to read this in bed with DH sleeping becasue I was too scared to be alone reading this. It was a great book & I believe heaven was like the author described :cloud9:

I bought the latest book, but decided to re-read the previous ones. Finished Outlander and now on Dragonfly in Amber. I love time-travel books!

Someone here mentioned Stephen King's new book Cell, so I went out and got that last night... Read through the first part.

I also purchase James Patterson's Honeymoon, so that will be next.
