Hi everyone

Here I am at work (on my lunch break I might add!) and even though it's only 23 days till we'll be back in DLP  it seems a million miles from here!

So I thought I'd ask you all what you are most looking forward to for your next trip (even if you haven't got one planned yet!) Not necessarily just rides etc. but anything that is a part of the DLP experience for you.

If you haven't been to DLP - what are you most looking forward to?

Mine are:

Coming out of the train station and catching our first glimpse of DLP again - I love the anticipation of coming up the escalator from the platform and leaving the train station - and we're THERE!! Being able to see Hotel New York, the Village etc as soon as we step out of the station is fantastic!

The walk on the first day from the hotel to the parks, with the excitement building as we walk through the Village and see the beautiful Disneyland Hotel, then of course entering the park and the sights, sounds and atmosphere of Main Street hitting us, plus the first view of the castle.

Riding Thunder Mountain in the dark, screaming & giggling, seeing Phantom Manor and the castle and the rest of the park lit up.

Taking the railroad all the way around the park.

Eating breakfast in the park at Au Chalet de la Marionnette and meeting loads of characters early in the morning without having to share them with too many other people!

Eating at La Grange on the last night; although it's sad it's the last night, it's always fun to go there and see how much we (okay I!) can eat!

These are just a few of the things I love about DLP, there are so many more, I'm really looking forward to going again at Christmas, particularly seeing the Enhanted Fairytale Ceremony and Fantillusion, and of course this year spending time with Becky and Amy :grouphug: But the things I've mentioned above are things we ALWAYS do and bring back so many happy memories :goodvibes I'm sure I'll think of loads more too, these are just off the top of my head!

What am I most looking forward to?

Like you said Rhiannon getting onto that moving walkway and running even though theres no need to! Riding BTM in the dark, eating at Blue Lagoon, trying out the Hot Air Balloon and staying at Sequoia Lodge.

DD9 is looking forward to Rock N Roller Coaster, Cyberspace Mountain, Indiana Jones, Annettes Diner, Shopping at Disney Village and swimming in Sequoia Lodge pool.

DS11 can't wait to ride BTM and Phantom Manor and he loves those huge Hotdogs. He says Magic Unlimited will be great because he hates getting off the rides.

DH is not a great Disney fan - but I know he will catch the happy atmosphere of Main Street. He loves the Train, BTM amd IASW. He also enjoys French food and wine and as he will not be driving at all he will enjoy a beer with his lunch I expect.

I'm far more excited about our upcoming trip in January than about Xmas - but who wouldn't be!

Regards
Rosie

Oh there are so many!!

Finally (hopefully) getting a pic with Maleficent!!

The atmosphere in the parks, riding BTM in the dark, trying out Space Mountain 2.........just being there will be awesome!

Walking into Town Square on the first evening is always a breath-taking moment - it's the sounds that get me every time - the music!! We always do BTM first and that's very special, then Fantillusion - a really magical Disney experience - and then the meal in the Village on the first night chattering about all the things we're going to do over the next few days!!! Above all, spending a lovely few days with just my DD and me!! Awwwwwwww!!!! (And Becky and her DD this time which will be a lovely "first" too!!!!)

Looking forward to the new rides we'll do. :)
DD3 and DS5 want to do BTM
DD8 and DS 5 want to do Star Tours
DD8 wants to do Rock n' Roller coaster
Everyone Buzz Lightyear

Hope my stomach can cope :rotfl2:

I'm looking forward to:

- Space Mountain: Mission 2; I haven't been since it changed!
- Going round the whole park on the railroad, like Rhiannon said
- Getting my photo taken with at least one character; I haven't done so for years and years!
- Taking a LOT of photos. Bonnie set the target of 1000+ in five days ;)
- Trying out the Eurostar for the first time (not strictly Disney, I know, but I'm easily pleased, lol!)
- Going on Big Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan's Flight - heck, everything! - again.

But most of all I am really looking forward to seeing what the atmosphere is like at Christmas time.

Like Emma, i am really looking forward to seeing it all so christmasssie, as I have never been at christmas before, that first glimpse of the castle and the first float of any parade gives me a lump in my throat and seeing those things with lights and xmas trees and disney snow, well i think i will be a blubbering wreck!
as for the rides, can't wait for aerosmith, pirates, peter pan, small world, and of course the shops!
can,t wait, what a great thread! :teeth:

I am also looking forward to all the christmassy things like the enchanted tree lighting ceremony and the christmas parade.

As we are going again at chistmas I´m looking forward to a great christmas eve with a lot of rides, another meet with Elaine and her family and a cosy stay at the DCR with my DD, her BF and 8 other guys we only knew 2 yet but meet the others tomorrow for the first time. :grouphug:

Sure I wait for the traditional christmas meal at the King Ludwigs after the Treelighning Ceremony and Christmas Parade that day.

Greets Renate :wizard:

So many choices - I can hardly make up my mind

That first walk down to peer through the gates of the Park under the Disney Hotel - we always arrive after it's shut on the first night so it's always deserted. OOOOH the sense of anticipation :goodvibes :goodvibes

Then a walk through the village with the whiff of hot dogs and excitement and a slow walk back to the hotel where we 'try' to sleep :sunny: :sunny: Like the ad says 'I'm too excited!'

Then that first walk back to the park in the morning around Lake Disney and your first glimpse of the park as you walk under the arch into Main Street.

Rides? I think it's got to be Pirates of the Caribbean plus my first visit to see the Dragon under the castle. Always my first port of call.

There are too many things to really pick on one but those are the things that get me all dewy eyed

I think there are too many to mention:

Finishing work on Tuesday evening with that wonderful "We're going tomorrow" feeling! :cheer2:
Seeing the parks' Halloween decorations for the first time.
Joining in with the halloween atmosphere. DD and I have bought "pink witches" hats to wear during the day, and DH and DS will have some sort of pumpkin accessory to wear.
The Halloween party itself on 30th October, and wearing our POTC costumes!
Riding POTC as many times as possible. pirate: pirate: pirate:
Eating in the Blue Lagoon for the first time.
Riding Rock and Roller Coaster.
Having a hot chocolate at night...every other time we have been it has been hot weather! :sunny:

I could go on forever, but these are just a few!

Walking into Disney Village on Chrstmas Eve after the park has closed to see that the Christmas Market is there this year - that's my dream anyway! I will then bump into some other DIS peeps who will agree that the Christmas Market is amazing!
