I desperately need some new music.

What is the newest CD you have purchased? What is your favorite?

I am flying by myself in a couple of weeks, and need some new tunes to take with me.

Thanks!

And...I will listen to almost anything Country to Rock/Rap/Metal and everything in between.

I'm another one of those people who will listen to almost anything. DW and I joked that we were probably the only people listening to the band Disturbed in the car on our way home from seeing "The Producers." :) I've also been known to go to a rock concert and cool down by listening to classical music afterwards. Right now I have System of a Down cranking on my car CD player, but who knows what it will be next week?

I haven't been listening to music much lately. Last CD bought was "Beautiful", by Christina Aguelera.

I never thought I would buy it but I did and now absolutely LOVE the Tim McGraw CD!!!!

I like the Counting Crows "Big Yellow Taxi" remake, Norah Jones, Audioslave, John Mayer, Chicago Soundtrack, India Arie...that is all I can think of. I've been listening to the Norah Jones CD most often these days. I just love it.

I have been listening to Good Charlotte lately. I love their song Boys and Girls.

I'm really into Bowling for Soup and John Mayer right now

I have a little of everything beside me at the computer. I love the Victoria's Secret cd Heavenly but I also have, POD, Shakira, tATu, and the Corrs. I listen to just about anything, it depends on my mood!

I too like Bowling for Soup and John Mayer. I am always looking for new stuff to listen to. I tend to be fickle, and can't listen to the same thing over and over.
I love reggae, and love Sublime (wish they were still around), and Shaggy as well as older stuff like Marley. I am a major Parrothead and have everything by Jimmy Buffett, and play this alot now that it is spring. I like Dave Matthew Band, but start to get bored with it after awhile.
Come on guys give me some new names to check out.
Check out OC Supertones, a Christian Ska band. very cool. I also like POD and MXPX.

The last few CD's I have bought (over the course of the months) have been Norah Jones, Josh Groban, Christina Aguilera and Yanni. What can I say, I listen to a wide variety of music ;) I think Josh Groban is my most listened to CD besides the Millennium CD from Epcot :teeth:

Daredevil soundtrack, Bob Dylan bootleg series vol 5, Ringo-Rama,
and Beck Sea Change.

This is too funny...

My DH thinks I've gone off the deep end because I just bought a five-CD set of classic Disney songs! I've been listening to it non-stop for a week. It's the best!

If DH hears "Chim Chim Cheree" one more time, though, I think his head is going to fly off.

Man, I miss Disney.

Daisy;)

Oh, some great ideas--

Caitycaity--I am also LOVING the new Coldplay.

Tigeroo--Oh, Sublime, I miss them too, what a great group. I wish they were still around/

Reggae & Jimmy. Yeppers, got my Buffet tix for August 30th, so time to dust these off. :teeth:

Great ideas folks, I'm going to have to go check some of this out.

suggest the music of Elton John, KBE.

Songs From The West Coast is classic EJ and is STRONGLY recommended. The One and Made in England are both very good too. Come to think of it, ALL of EJ's albums are GREAT, you can NEVER go wrong with EJ!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget to go to www.eltonjohn.com and HAVE FUN!!!!!

Also, any soundtrack by James Newton Howard is sure to be one of the best!

PAX,
Diane
:smooth:

Last CD I bought was Norah Jones. Then of course my usual Third Day... don't go anywhere without'em. :p

My DD just got the new Simple Plan CD and I find myself singing along now.:D

Reggae will always put you in a good mood!! I like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers.
I also love Phish, the Beatles, Elton John (Madman Across the Water), Jamiroquai, even Johnny Cash!!
I am an advocate for upbeat happy music, especially with all that's going on nowadays.:) :D  :smooth:

Ben Harper, David Grey, the Stone Roses, Switchfoot, Goo Goo Dolls, Norah Jones, Kenny Chesney, Lifehouse.. all sorts of stuff ;) I think I need to make a webpage of my favorite music so that when friends ask for suggestions, I can just pass out the url instead!

edit-ok, I'm a nut. I finished up my page of favorite music, which can be found here if anyone is really bored ;)
